What do we know about Marseille?
A beautiful city in the south of France, the cultural capital of Europe, the birthplace of Edmond Dantes, the home of the famous "Taxi" franchise.
But today we will talk about those who are not in the Wikipedia articles. We're talking about ordinary people from Marseille.
All cities in Europe know about what is happening in Ukraine and the inhabitants of Marseille decided not to sit idly by. Svetlana Gorokhova-Devred and her husband Pirlouit Avecquatrei together with Phocéa Rocks organized a concert in support of our hometown, Kharkov.
In just 24 hours, more than 15 bands agreed to take part in this event!
The organization was held in record time - only 4 days!
The venue for the charity event was found very quickly, children were running around the city and pasting up posters with invitations to the concert with smiles, and Marseille comics artists agreed to make a poster.
On March 30th, the day of the event, it was raining in Marseille, but that did not become a barrier.
A lot of people visited the concert and from 18:00 till one o'clock in the morning there was music and words of support for Kharkiv and Ukraine! https://www.facebook.com/events/784482229199317/
But words and music wasn't the only thing the musicians and people from Marseille helped Kharkiv with!
All the money raised during the benefit concert was donated to several volunteer organizations in Kharkiv, and we're eternally grateful for this contribution to our fight! For your willingness to help, for your desire to save lives, for your desire to keep the peace.
It's been over a month now. Why are we writing about this event today? Because today is the second part of this beautiful charity concert, VOL.2 in Marseille!
