Hello friends!

We’ve been dreading to write this message, but we have to say what we have to say.

After almost 20 years of Toastmastering, the time came for us to say our goodbyes. It feels sad to close this chapter, because of all the lovely memories we’ve made together, but we’re also sitting with a lot of gratitude for everything we’ve learned, and all of the friends we’ve made along this journey.

We’d like to thank everyone who’s visited us and actively participated in our meetings throughout these years. We’ve truly enjoyed your company and we hope that you’ve enjoyed ours just as much.

We wish for our paths to cross again, somewhere, somehow. For once a toastmaster - always a toastmaster! Right?
We’re not saying goodbye, we’re saying: see you around!

In this day and age social media, undeniably, has become an integral part of hundreds of millions of people lives, bringing significant change into our world.

On one hand, it has given everyone a chance to get their voice and talent out there for everyone to witness. On the other hand, the quality of content that gets out there on the big stage is often questionable and sometimes even dangerous.

We are well aware of the pros and cons of social media platforms like TikTok. But do pros outweigh cons in this case? Do we keep it or do we throw it away? Let's talk about your view.

LEADING LEADERS

Changemakers Toastmasters is pleased to welcome a leading leader from Kyiv, Ukraine. Marta Vorobiova will be one of our guest speakers at our next meeting where we will install our executive officers and induct our members.

Marta is a woman of many passions and interests. Most of her life has been spent on stage and in front of the camera working as an international model. Her passions revolve around wholistic health, beauty and acting. These interests have inspired her to attain certificates in yoga, nutrition, coaching and to take acting classes in the past few years.

Her path of self searching brought Marta to the Toastmasters community in 2020. After only six months, she took the leading role as president of the Changemakers Toastmasters Club of Kyiv, Ukraine. She continue to grow and develop as a leader and public speaker while simultaneously keeping her focus towards a professional acting career.

Marta will be speaking at Women Changemakers Toastmasters’ "Leading Leaders" online meeting 7pm AST on Wednesday, February 8. Her speech, “Surrendered Leadership”, will inspire you as you move forward on your life’s path.

Is 99% good enough?
It depends. The exam result is amazing. However, such a number of successful landings of passenger planes would eliminate this means of transport - as was the case with airships.

Sometimes difficult times lead to difficult decisions. We had to make a decision to put the activity of our club ON HOLD due to the extreme unpredictability of electricity and internet connection in Ukraine, and our meetings being held online.
