Two of my favourite boxers boxing on 28th April. Babu the heavyweight, and Masembe Isaac boxing at featherweight I think. We were privileged to be able to give isaac first pro fight on Oct 1st, which he won by knockout - he’s a brilliant boxer. But together with Babu, these boxers have the whole package as they are great characters too, and they know how to promote themselves. Look out WORLD!

P.S. sadly I’m not sure what he’s saying either, but it sounds fun right? See you at MTN Arena!

Happy International Woman’s day to all the great woman out there! With a special mention of the brilliant Helen Baleke and the inspiring work she does in the Katanga Slum, teaching girls boxing & self defence. Helen had to use her boxing skills to fight off an attacker when she was a youth, and now she dedicates her life to coaching other girls, and boys on one of the poorest slums in Kampala, Uganda. It’s always an honour to know people like this.. and helen could not be more humble and unaware of her greatness, like many Ugandans I know.
boxing.great.again and in London are working on a plan to help helen finish building the boxing club and kitting it out with modern boxing equipment too - see the next pictures. Want to help or get involved, please DM me.

I had the honour of meeting Father Christmas yesterday. It’s customary in uganda it seems for FC to be flanked by Minnie Mouse… however, despite putting out a glass of Sherry and and a biscuit, FC didn’t give me a stocking this year!

Anyway, perhaps you can be FC for the kids in naguru, all the donation goes towards providing a Christmas feast, with only PayPal fees coming off it.

My first time as a boxing promoter standing between these two undefeated lionesses, ready to battle it out for a national title. What do you think of this Eddie Bazira? This is exactly what I try to tell the young boxers I talk to regularly. Muhamed Kassim I believe you are the best boxer from East Coast, and you're going to be a world champion - however, all boxers need to think about eduction and skills outside of boxing too - remember, the career of a boxer is usually very short - you may retire at 35. What then??? Muhammad Ali 'The Peoples Champion' - Ali is our Champ - you were the greateast sportsman, and one of the greatest men in the world too - young boxers in Uganda, please listen to the ultimate champ!!
