Chamdena Level has become the first South Sudanese to perform at the renowned Nyege Nyege festival.

The Nyege Nyege festival, which lasts up to a week, is currently Africa's largest and most attended festival.

The majority of attendees are from Europe and America. It is also expensive to attend, with a single ticket costing around 500k ugs, which is equivalent to $150.

Our media does not want to talk about such achievements because they have favorite brothers and sisters who they want to see succeed, despite the fact that others, such as Chemdena, are working hard to market our country.

We congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.

One of the reasons why South Sudanese artists find it hard to grow is because of our very own people. Whenever an artist is doing something that will help them grow they then get ignored. Until they make a very big hit then they start showing fake love to the artists.

If we do not stop this habit then we shall find it hard to produce more talented artists since most will give up on the way. Let’s learn to appreciate and support our own.

Ed Sheeran has won a High Court copyright battle over his 2017 hit song Shape of You.

A judge ruled on Wednesday that the singer-songwriter had not plagiarised the 2015 song Oh Why by Sami Chokri.

Chokri, a grime artist who performs under the name Sami Switch, had claimed the "Oh I" hook in Sheeran's track was "strikingly similar" to an "Oh why" refrain in his own track.

Sheeran said he did not remember hearing Oh Why before the legal case.

Shape of You was the UK's best-selling song of 2017 in the UK and is Spotify's most-streamed ever.
