How is my little man already TWO?! The last couple of years have flown by so quickly, and I truly can’t put into words how Porter has completed our family is such a special way. I assumed we’d just have girls to love, but then he showed up and surprised us - and has kept us on our toes ever since!

Porter David, I am so ridiculously proud to call you my son - and I love watching you grow more and more with each passing day. Being your “Da-da” genuinely is one of the absolute highlights of my life, and I hope you always know that!

EIGHT! How is my sweet little Eleanor 8 years old already?! Time is flying, and you’re growing up so much faster than I could have ever imagined! You’re full of laughter, s***k and so much sweetness - don’t ever change that!

Our home on Main St. in Lebanon, VA will be FOR SALE in the coming days… We are staying in Lebanon, but moving to fit our family’s needs a little better. I haven’t fully coped with the fact that we’re leaving this special house that’s become such a big part of who we are - but we are excited for the next owners to experience all the charm and character we have worked so hard to keep + cultivate the last 4 years!

How in the world you are now FIVE is beyond my comprehension! The last few years with you have flown by - but you have turned into one of the most beautiful little girls inside and out. Your heart for other others is truly something I admire about you, Amelia! I love you more each day, and I’m so thankful God has let me watch you grow up.

Happy 7th Birthday, my sweet Eleanor! I truly don’t understand how the last seven years have passed so quickly, but they sure have been filled with sweetness because of you. You have a heart of gold, a super funny sense of humor and a love for all the girly things in life. Nine years ago today we promised to stick together through whatever life threw our way, and I can honestly say that I’ve never one time regretted that vow! I remember the exact moment we took this photo on our honeymoon - and I felt like life couldn’t get any better, but I sure was wrong! As each year passes, I realize just how precious a marriage becomes as it matures and grows…

God has been truly good to us, and I’m humbled to get to do life with you by my side, Heather! Happy 9th Anniversary - here’s to 100 more! 🧡

Happy 4th Birthday, Amelia! It’s hard for me to comprehend how my little girl is already such a big kid. When we moved to VA you were just taking your first steps - and here we are celebrating four whole years with you! Time flies…

It has been such a joy to have your sweet, s***ky little self in our home… You always bring a smile to our faces and love nothing more than making people laugh. You have a heart as big as the moon and an attention to detail that scares me to death! Haha

Thanks for being my sweet little Millie Bug - your Daddy sure does love you! 🧡

Crazy thankful for this family of mine, especially for the safe arrival of Porter this year!

Can I be real with you for a minute? 2022 has been one of THE hardest years of my life - definitely the hardest for us as a family - but God has been ever-present in every moment of it. He has given peace that truly passes all understanding, strength to face trying times and a love that surpasses anything else in this world! I don’t know what I would have done this year if I didn’t know that God was holding my life securely in His hands, and that I could cast all of my worry + trouble on His shoulders. He truly is a good, GOOD Father - and He has shown his goodness to us in 2022 like never before! If you don’t *personally* know Him you’re missing out!

I’ve got SOOO much to be thankful for!

Jake + Ashley’s wedding day started with an early ceremony, led into a chicken + waffles brunch and ended with sunset photos! It’s was an early morning, and a super long day for them (hair and makeup started at 5AM! 🤯) but it was packed full of all the things + people they love the most.
Truly, it was a wonderful day, and I’m honored to have not only been there to photograph it, but to also help coordinate all the moving pieces too!

Working on a few sneak peeks tonight from a super small, intimate vow renewal last week! William + Tiffany celebrated 25 years together by having another ceremony on their 25th anniversary at the EXACT time their ceremony was 25 years ago!
Surrounded by their kids, their family and closest friends they re-committed their love and dedication to one another and made the sweetest of memories…
It’s such a cool thing to get to be with people in the midst of such special moments in their lives! I’ll NEVER grow tired of it!

Allie’s bridal session was H.U.M.I.D. - buuut that light was 🔥🔥🔥!

and were two of THE most fun people I’ve ever worked with - and their families were just as much fun too! From the very moment I met the whole crew at a bridal show I knew they’d be a flipping blast to work with. And bot was I right! 😎

We have had the name Porter picked out since 2018… So when we found out he was a boy the day he was born there was an extra level of excitement knowing we had our little Porter to take the name we loved so much!

Porter is named after family… My grandma’s maiden name is Porter, and we love it for a little boy! David is my dad’s name AND Heather’s dad’s name, so that was an easy pick for his middle name. (David is also my Grandpa’s first name, my late Uncle’s name and is the middle name of my oldest brother and his son - Josh + Levi.)

We love names that have significance, and are really thankful to be able to honor 3 people that mean a great deal to us by naming our sweet little boy after them!

Porter David, you’ve already stolen our hearts! We sure do love you little guy! 🧡

It’s been quiet around here lately - but I don’t want y’all I think that means I’m absent. Life has been SOOOO busy the last 9-10 months! With all the health-related stuff for Heather + Amelia, the new baby coming (any day now! 🤯) and the new venture in finance - things have been moving non stop for us.

I’m still here, still shooting and loving all of it! (Just this week I had two new wedding consultations) This season of life has looked different than most for us, but that’s just part of how life flows… It’s been such a great season, but probably the busiest I’ve ever experienced!

I’m super thankful for each of you and your support over the years, and the years going forward. I do NOT take that for granted!

How has it been 6 years since I first held you in my arms?! Words just don’t seem like enough to describe how much you mean to me, Eleanor… You’re truly one of the kindest and most caring little people I’ve ever known, and I couldn’t be more proud of you! Your heart for others is huge and I’m so thankful for that.

You are growing up into the the prettiest little girl, inside and out - and I genuinely enjoy just being a part of your life. You think I walk on water and that makes me feel like I can conquer the world on really though days. Being your Daddy is one of the greatest things I’ve ever done (or ever will do) with my life - and it’s such a joy to watch you grow!
