I’ve been shooting weddings since 2000, I originally started using film eventually upgrading to medium format and finally digital. In the 600 plus weddings that I have photographed over the years I have done, Christian, Jewish, Atheist, Hindu, Muslim and Same S*x. After my parents had me and my sister they adopted two of my sisters from Korea. Out of the 30-40 kids that came through our house my p
arents adopted two more. A boy & a girl. I am 17 years older then my little sister and 19 years old then my brother. In 2004 I married my college sweetheart and we have a three year old daughter who is the apple of my eye. Throughout my entire life I’ve have always had a love for Art, Drawing, Painting especially. However, I’m the first to admit that I was never really good at it. Growing up in Baltimore County I took drawing and painting classes at an early age and into my college career. While at CCBC Essex a close friend of mine was taking movie classes at Towson University and even working on the Movie The Curve that was filmed on campus. I had always been fascinated with the behind the scenes aspects of movies. CCBC didn’t offer any film courses but they did offer a photo one which I felt was the next best thing. I had attempted to take photography courses my senior year at Perry Hall High but they had enrolled me in the advanced program, and with me having no former knowledge of photography I opted not to enroll during High School. My friend now lives in LA and works in Hollywood. Inspiration comes from many different things, for me my college photo one professor Jan Star, saw something in my work that pushed me to excel and realize that I had found what I was always missing. Photography. Photography is not only my hobby, it is my passion, and my career. My full time job, I’m a photographer for an Advertisement Agency. I also teach classes on Digital Cameras at a local photo lab. On weekends, vacations when ever I get a free moment I’m either out taking photos or I’m retouching them in photoshop. As a photographer, I want to learn the couples story, how they met, fell in love, and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Photographing weddings, I like to try and tell a story through images, starting with the bride getting ready, the groom seeing her for the first time, to the finally kiss of the night. I’m very open to what images the bride wants, I come from the belief that everything has been photographed before, and I will do my best to recreate what that bride wants. My style tends to be a mix of photojournalism and classic portraiture. I love capturing the “moment” but feel everyone needs some guidance and it is a necessary to get the standard Protraits/ Family photos. I basically will photograph anything & everything.
