Getting outside and seeing animals in their natural habitat is pretty amazing! Through our programs we teach people about all types of animals, habitats and their interactions with one another. We are always trying to get people to go outside and engage with the outdoors! Not only can we learn about the world around us this way but also spend valuable time with others! With a few days off, a trip to the Everglades was just what we needed! These are some wild American alligators! You can meet our resident alligators during our programs and remember when dealing with any wild animals make sure to respect them and give them their personal space!

Today we got first place in the Abington st. Patrick’s day parade! I want to thank everyone for the pictures and apologize if I stole anyones! This takes a lot of effort to pull off behind the scenes and a lot of people working together!Thank you to everyone that helped! And to all that came out and sent pictures to us! As well as seeing Red Eye Tree Frogs on our last Costa Rica trip we also saw many other incredible animals including some humming birds! They are pollinators which means they eat some things like nectar and even insects! To see a video of one feeding check out our Instagram we will continue to post some of the neat animals we encountered!

This cute creature is a Red eye tree frog that we found on our most recent Costa Rica trip! This species is often used as a representation for tree frogs in many books due to its amazing colors! As well as seen in books you can see these in our shows! We have some red eye tree frogs that we use in programs and in one photo you can see the fancy camera we use to take our pictures!

We have had this little guy for a few months now! He is an albino tegu and will be one of our new ambassadors! Tegus are amazing animals growing to almost 4ft and being omnivores they are very adaptable! This one is extra special due to being albino! It will still be a bit before he’s out doing programs but for now he’s growing very quickly and becoming more and more social!

I know I have been slow to post but things have been anything but slow here at Joe’s Crazzy Critters! We are still booking events and birthdays, but the summer is filling up quickly. If you're looking to book please let us know asap! This is one of our recent rescues Zulu, she has quite the personality and loves attention!

This was a busy weekend! We love getting people to meet some of our unique animals from places not many have never heard of! This is a Rhacodactylus leachianus gecko from New Caledonia! He always seems to get people of all ages engaged!

Over the past 16 years of doing programs and parties, I have received many thank you cards and drawings from kids. After months of slow days and finally getting back to booking programs/birthday parties, this group meant a lot! Seeing cards like this reminds me of just how much I love my job! This is the newest addition to the crazzy critter family, she is a dumerals boa! A Madagascan species that has a remarkable coloration to help it camouflage into the forest floor! Like with all new animals this one will be in Quarintine for the next few weeks before she is out educating people at programs! Some of the animals we think of as being the scariest, can also be very caring parents! This mother Asian Forest Scorpion carries her babies on her back until their exoskeleton hardens and darkens before they can go off on their own! This is mom hours after having babies and two weeks later!

Meet one of our new critters, the prehensile tail skinks! There are 3 of these and they are still young but will reach up to 2 feet long and are some of the few reptiles that care for their babies!
