Yesterday Southland hosted Large Group Contest for our section. We had a great day and the kids did amazing! Three judges each give a score out of 40 and evaluate different parts of the music. Band scored 36, 35, and 35 and choir scored 34, 34, and 36. We are proud of our students for their great performances as well as their help with running a smooth event!

Yesterday the high school choir and band students did a fantastic job at our section solo/ensemble contest! There was a lot of learning and growth. We had 3 events that earned Best In Site and 3 events with perfect scores!
•Jessie- Best In Site for her marimba solo
•Julia and Shannon- Best in Site for their flute duet
•Julia- Best In Site for her flute solo
•Sara- perfect score on her clarinet solo
•Corbin- perfect score on his vocal solo

The Dorian Vocal Festival concert has been moved to noon today. If you had tickets contact the Luther College box office for a refund. You can join via the love stream. The change was made due to the incoming winter storm for many of the participants.
