Be Still my heart, Another Celebration of Life has been added to JM Events By You portfolio. This one hits hard as the man we honored was a mentor in business to me. He believed in my work and without saying a word I could feel how proud of my growth he was for me! From coordinating his daughters wedding, to him teaching me business ideas from his own business and his creativity in creating his clients visions just like I thrive to do at JM Events By You! To coordinating his medical benefit with Bridging a Gap. Somehow it seems as though Scott helped build my dream vision of my business.

I'm not crying, you're crying!! It was an absolute honor to plan and be behind the scenes of this beautiful wedding! Erin and Christian being a witness on your big day was a true blessing!!

Ya'll when planning is all done and all that remains are photos and videos, I can't tell you how much it makes me miss my clients!! We truly get to know each other and spend so much time to bring all the details to life. I cherish each event so much!

God had a plan for my business I never saw coming. Every Celebration of Life I pinch myself with how blessed I am to be able to allow families to mourn their loved ones and sit back to truly remember them without the worry of how it all will come together.

This Celebration of Life is special in several ways. Don Neuroth was a very loved hard working, Godly man! It’s been an absolute honor to be a small part in celebrating his life!!! We love you Neuroth family!!

“Before opening Lavender & Honey Herbal Apothecary, I was a registered nurse—and skeptical about anything labeled ‘holistic’ or ‘natural’. I didn't believe in it at all.

But I was also eating processed foods and taking a pill for everything, and by the time I got to my early 30s, I was a walking pharmacy and a medical mess. I was sick, and no matter what I tried, I was getting worse.

Some of my biggest concerns were stress, sleep and anxiety, and despite my doubts, a friend gave me some lavender to try.

That was the first time I ever remember sleeping without a substance, sleeping well, and waking up feeling refreshed.

I thought, ‘OK, how did that work? This has to be a fluke.’ I was really intrigued, so I started dabbling with different herbs and oils. I was blown away by the effects and it also motivated me to clean up my diet, lifestyle, home, and the products I used on my body.

I started telling my friends and family about what I was doing, and I gave them some to try. and They loved it, and friends and family encouraged me to take my products to a farmers’ market. I was terrified to put myself out there, but it was very well received.

I started out at the farmers' market in Marshall, and that city helped me grow my business, along with friends and family. Then I started adding on markets and built a whole separate kitchen on my farm and in my home to make my products, and my business, Lavender & Honey Herbal Apothecary, just grew and grew.

Lavender & Honey Herbal Apothecary is a wellness center, a place to hang out, drink tea and learn. It's here for the community. I will custom-blend tinctures for people, and I offer wellness consultations to give one-on-one guidance.

I love being able help people who have health issues, who are hurting, who are in the same spot I was in: trying everything but nothing works, and they don’t know what else to do. When they come in, try something, and come back and tell me how it worked or how it helped them, it brings tears to my eyes. I’m supporting and helping people. I get to guide them and educate them and empower them to take back their own health and wellness.

I’m not against regular medicine and there are definitely situations where pharmaceuticals are needed, a time to go to an acute care or ER, and I'm grateful those resources are there. But many everyday issues and some chronic conditions are reversible with holistic care and with the support of herbs.

Before this, I was on a whole list of pharmaceuticals, and today I'm not on anything—and I feel better than I ever have.

It’s Event Day at JM Events By You!! I’m extra excited about this event, not only because it’s been a huge homemade decor event that I’ve gotten to be very crafty with! This event is special to me because a few months back I participated in the Lenawee Boys and Girls club silent auction and donated a free event plan and mood board package. The winner passed our donation to her nephew for his graduation party and that package turned into a full service package! This goes to show that if you give a little you can grow your business in ways you could never have imagined!!

Stay tuned for final setup photos!!! Can’t wait to make this mood board come to life!!
