Saturday, October 1, 2022 is a day I will never forget. It was my final wedding - ever - I am officially retired.
I'll admit, I wanted to give up those first years in the wedding business (because it's a difficult industry!) but I had this dream and I pursued it with my whole heart. Sometimes stumbling but always learning as I went.
It has been a fabulous, fun, exhausting, exhilarating, sometimes frustrating but mostly rewarding nearly 20 year experience...and I wouldn't trade those years in this business for anything this side of heaven.
Throughout my career as a wedding & event planner, I have met some of the best wedding professionals. My 'Go-To' 'Best of the Best', always trustworthy and always willing to be innovative and cutting edge to give my couples and their guests a superb event. Without a doubt, my favorite professionals showed up, suited up and helped me execute the plan to perfection.
What can I say about my staff except that they are amazing. Friends and family who were willing to jump on board my crazy train and push through to make a couple's big day everything they asked of us. I love each of you and honestly don't know what I would have done without you - (in alpha order so I don't show favoritism 🙄) , , , and several incredible interns ( ).
My couples, my countless couples... you are the BEST! I've had the honor of meeting some of the nicest people through weddings. It's the happiest day of their lives! I have been asked many times, "Have you ever had a Bridezilla?" My reply is always, "No. If a bride is unhappy it's because her expectations aren't met. I meet and try to exceed her expectations, then she is a happy bride."
I will miss this exhilarating, invigorating, exciting, energizing industry. I am sad that it's time for me to move on from doing what I've been passionate about for so many years. But it is time, I have realized my dream.
Harriet Tubman said it best, "Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."

Hailey + Travis couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for their wedding! The ceremony took place at the pergola on the campus of Adrian College with a reception in the Adrian Tobias Center.
This fun-loving couple shared unique touches with their guests...from the decor, their entrance and first dance, to the ice cream machine where one could make their own sundae, the event was a great evening for everyone.
We wish Hailey + Travis all the best for a fabulous forever! ❤️

We couldn't have asked for a more absolutely perfect day for Leigh + Adam's wedding!
The theme was steampunk and they pulled off the quirky theme spectacularly - from their simple decor to their elaborate gown and suit jacket, to the little details of a feather pen at the guest book. Favorites from the day were the stunning wedding gown, goggles and hats (worn by bridal party, family and friends), the groom's attire, the choreographed first dance and the stunning design of the wedding cake. Oh, I got to drive a golf cart too!
Congratulations Leigh + Adam Cruse. I wish you all the best for a fun-filled, quirky, amazing forever together. It was an absolute pleasure working with you! ❤️❤️

Holly + Blake
were married August 13, 2022 at the beautiful Hillsdale College venue (Campbell Hall), they celebrated with family and friends at the college's Searle Center (wow, a gorgeous space).
