Over the last couple of weeks we have seen lots of our friends and neighbors loving like Jesus, sacrificing of their time and money to help complete strangers in their time of need. 🥰 We are truly thankful for our family 🫶, for our friends at who have spearheaded lots of cleanup efforts 💪🏼, and for the countless others that are working through exhaustion to serve this amazing community. 🙏🏻❤️

Our world feels heavy right now, and yet there is still so much joy! 🥰 We’ve hosted 3 weddings since Helene, and we have 2 more this weekend. We’re excited for these sweet couples, and the love their weddings represent. ❤️ We’re excited to have people gathered, sharing stories, catching up, being reminded of the good. ☺️

The world is a strange mix of business as usual and once in a lifetime catastrophe. Today Daniel flew his drone under a neighbor’s house that had been flooded to take pictures of the structural damage. On Wednesday Meredith will be helping open a new free medical clinic in Asheville (details at helpasheville.com). On Thursday we will be preparing for this weekend’s weddings. We’re trying to love our neighbors well and serve our community well, while simultaneously serving our couples well, as the Lord enables us. Thank you for all your love and support! 🙏🏻☺️

Happy 41st Birthday to the most amazing woman I know. 🎉🥰 If you’ve met her, you know that Meredith is kind, compassionate, empathetic, strong, and wise. ♥️ Every week, she manages our home and spends time discipling our 3 homeschooling kids in kindergarten, 5th, and 9th grade. 📚 She manages the venue business (which is a LOT). 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️ She also helps manage the homeschool co-op, co-leads the Merge premarital counseling ministry, mentors a couple of young wives, does phone coverage as a physician assistant, does occasional marriage counseling, and somehow finds time to be a good friend to the ladies in her life. 🙌 She looked at me before she laid down for her birthday nap and said, “I don’t know why I’m so tired!” ~yeah, me neither. 🤷‍♂️

Happy Birthday to the woman who pours herself out serving the rest of us. 🙏 She doesn’t do it for the recognition. She does it because she loves Jesus, and his love motivates her to love others. I am so blessed to get to do life with this amazing woman! 🤩❤️

My first viral video wasn’t a wedding, it was the bridge around the corner from our venue collapsing because of catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene. The first clip has been shown on all the major news and weather outlets, and had millions of views on social media. I hope it helped bring awareness to the significance of the devastation in East Tennessee and Western NC. 🙏🏻 We are safe. Our venue is safe. Our community is hurting. Our local authorities have done an amazing job getting power back on to almost everyone, repairing roads, and rebuilding our water system, which is almost repaired in less than a week. 💪🏼 We have also seen our community band together to get supplies and water to places that need them, and people volunteering to muck out houses, cut down trees and clear roads and driveways. It’s encouraging. God has been good to us. We love this community! ❤️ But we need your prayers, and lots of people need practical help. We will occasionally share opportunities in our stories for service. It’s going to be a long road to recovery. Thank you for all your love and support!

When Macey and Jared booked their November wedding with us, she asked us not to post this pic immediately because Jared hadn’t officially proposed, which happened a couple weeks later. 🥰 I told her it would make it into the feed before her wedding. 😂 Less than 2 months to go! 🤩 Can’t wait for their beautiful day! ❤️

Harlie + Andrew ~ September 1, 2024 ❤️

This wedding was super special for us because Harlie was our kids’ first regular babysitter when she was in high school. 🥰 She was delightful then, and she’s grown into an amazing woman. ❤️ We are truly thankful the Lord gave her Andrew as a perfect compliment. 🙏🏻 He kept her smiling all day long. ☺️ The dance party at their reception was one of the best we’ve ever had! 😱🤩

✅ When you arrive for a tour, one of us will meet you. ☺️
✅ When you arrive on wedding day, one of us will be here to greet you and make sure everything with the venue is exactly as it should be. ☺️

In short, we do ALL the things. 😂 We answer the phone. We plant flowers and pull weeds. We maintain our own website and social media pages. We clean the venue, do all of our own maintenance, give tours, and design new features. Why does that matter? Because we love this place and our couples, and when you book with us, you work with us. 🥰 We’re not a corporate owned entity with employees that turn over.
