Just have to post a special shout-out to Blue Collard Catering for going over and above at our reception last night. Way too many things to mention and ZERO photos to share of the PHENOMENAL food (I was either running around or eating!). Christian, you and your team were nothing short of stellar. Welcome to the Simply Weddings team, sweet Kayla! This gives new meaning to the term “trial by fire.” 😂😂😂 It was a hot one but my oh my - it was a GORGEOUS, fun day from start to finish. These are just a few of my candids. Can’t wait to see what turns out! Faith has guided us at each step of our marriage and our businesses...
*It took faith to start over again, together, in marriage.
*It took faith to start a DJ business before we had even completed a year of marriage.
*It took faith to start Officiating and then again to become a coordinator & planner.
*It took faith to quit an 11 year hair career to go full time with both businesses.
*It took faith to add more DJs, coordinators, services and staff.

And now, here we are, stepping out on faith again!!

Couple on a super tight budget: “Why should I hire a planner when I can get all the information I need to plan my wedding online for free?”
Me: Look at it this way. I was horrific at anything “sciency” in school. Even if we’d had the Internet back in the age of World Book Encyclopedias and (gasp) microfiche, I would have been sooooo overwhelmed trying to teach myself. Planners are here to help you navigate the crazy inner world of weddings. I love partnering with my brides to find out what their priorities are for their big day and then helping get them their with their sanity - and budget! - still in tact. You don’t have to do this alone. ♥️

This gorgeous venue had a rare cancellation for March 25, 2025 and the coordinator for that wedding (The I Do Girl) is working hard to help the bride recoup some of their investment. You would be getting one of the finest venues in the area at an amazing rate. Please help us help this bride.

I have a weekend booking for March 29th, 2025 for the beautiful Barns at Gunn Stewart Farms up for sale.
The bride paid the deposit of $1833.33.
Instead of losing the deposit, we'd like to sell it for $1500.
You would pay the bride the $1500. You'd sign new contracts with Gunn Stewart and you'd get full credit of $1833.33 toward your balance.

With the beauty of The Pine House as the setting for our wedding day, how could it help but be a simply wonderful? ♥️ The bride’s mother made handmade soaps for the favors & her grandmother hand painted every picture on the guest tables. Little squares of garden cottage fabric were the stage on which the pots of fresh greenery and white flowers danced. And the bride? Absolutely radiant. This NEVER gets old! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Reilly and Travis Rice. Thank you for inviting me on this journey with you!

When the wedding is for your nephew, the bride insisted that this coordinator shift into guest mode for the wedding day. ♥️ I tucked my phone in my purse and just drank it all in. Truth be told, it was hard to “turn it off.” 😂 All the “behind the scenes” work that doesn’t show up in pictures was completed: The planning was all done. The ceremony space layout was designed and the processional lineup order was ready to go. The timeline was created and everything was turned over to the day-of director. And the day, like the bride, was gorgeous! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Plunkett!
