NEW SHOW ANNOUNCEMENT!

FEVER DREAMS by Akron artists Jeff Schleis and Jack E. Gibby on view at Gallery 22 at Baxter’s Speakeasy June 1st-November 1st.

Opening reception June 1st & 2nd featuring thematic cocktails by Baxter’s Speakeasy, live music by experimental jazz & funk musician Smoke Face, hor d’oeuvres by Red Raven and more TBA.

Select pieces will be auctioned both online and in person. Place your bids in person or at 22feverdreams.com starting June 1st! Proceeds higher then minimum bid will be made into a donation from the buyer to Bayard Rustin LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Winners announced November 1st!

Beginning April 7th we welcome to our rotating repetoire THE SPEAKEASY SESSIONS happening every FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH!

Ft. Music, Performance, Poetry, Yoga, Food pop-ups, Art, Clothing, Cocktails and more!

Our first installment features
5pm - Yoga with Raeni (limited to 10 people for the first round with on site sign ups for the following month on April 7th - be sure to sign up on site!)
6pm - Food Pop-up with Red Raven serving Mediterranean & Colorado inspired cuisine
630 - Music by Kade & Co
630 - Music by Culver Osbourn
7pm - OPEN MIC (all talents welcome - 10/15 minute time slots - available to the public with food or drink purchase

Our stage will have some instruments available for use if you don’t have one available as well as an amp and mic

Upcoming Sundays will include Yoga, Food, Art Therapy, Art shows, dance parties, tattoos, scavenger hunts, bar crawls and more!

AKRON, OHIO, OCTOBER 20, 2023 – ESSENTIAL TREMORS is a celebration of artists navigating the boundless nature of sound, highlighting the challenging, the esoteric and the bold. Initially conceived by Angus Andrew [Liars], the festival originated at Phoenix Central Park in Sydney, Australia in 2022 with an all-Australian line-up. Since then, the concept has grown with iterations taking place in Sydney, Canberra, Beijing, NYC and Tokyo, fostering an international community of creatives providing emerging and left field artists of diverse traditions and cultural backgrounds the opportunity to perform on a global stage.

The 5th Annual Drag Battle presented by Akron Pride Festival is taking place on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the historic Akron Civic Theatre. Drag Artists compete for the title of 2023 Drag Artist of The Year and a cash prize.
Our special guest for the evening from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Canada’s Drag Race and a former Miss. Continental, Brooke Lynn Hytes. Featuring 2022 Drag Artist of Year, Natasshja Norielle. Also starring Cherry Veneer, Poppy Lugo, Jeremiah, Denise Russell, Alejandra J-Love, and more!
