Hello, friends and fellow bread lovers!
Happy New Year! I hope your holiday season was filled with warmth, joy, and of course, delicious treats. As we dive into January, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on an incredible December and share what’s in store for this month.
December Highlights 🎄
The holiday season was nothing short of magical in my kitchen! Some of the standout treats included soft caramels, cardamom buns, stollen, and chocolate bars. Each of these was so much fun to make, and I was thrilled by your feedback.
While most of my recipes turned out exactly as I envisioned, I wasn’t quite satisfied with the chocolate bar filling. However, I’ve already made improvements to create a creamier, more decadent, oozing filling that I know you’ll love. Look out for these again soon—perhaps in time for Valentine’s Day!
Earlier in December, I also introduced sourdough soft pretzels, and they were an instant hit! Many of you have asked when they’ll be back. While I’d love to bring them back in January, I want to respect the offerings of another baker at the market who specializes in pretzels. For now, I’ll focus on other exciting monthly specialties to keep things fresh and delicious.
January’s Monthly Specialty: Sourdough Conchas! 🐚
I’m thrilled to introduce this month’s specialty: sourdough conchas! These delightful Mexican sweet breads are light, fluffy, and topped with a sugary shell that melts in your mouth. They’re the perfect treat to brighten up your winter mornings. I can’t wait for you to try them!
❣️Important Update: Weekly Deliveries ❣️
I have some bittersweet news to share. After much reflection, I’ve decided to pause my weekly delivery service for now. I’m so grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm you’ve shown for ordering bread five days a week, but I found that the schedule left less time for my family, especially my children.
Moving forward, I’ll focus on pick-up orders at the markets we attend, limiting my busiest days to just two per week. This change allows me to maintain a healthier balance while still providing you with the fresh, handcrafted bread and treats you love.
The website is currently down as I update these changes, but it will be back up and running in time for next Saturday’s market (January 11). Thank you all for your understanding and continued support—it truly means the world to me!

After a restful holiday break, I’m excited to announce that we’ll be back this Saturday at the Alachua County Farmer’s Market. I can’t wait to reconnect with all of you and share what’s fresh and new this season.
