Located in the city of Alachua, along the historical district on Main Street, the Alachua Woman’s Club is a beautiful 19th century brick building that represents a piece of our history through its large front archways, wood accents throughout and glimmering chandelier’s above. The AWC was built in 1936 having many upgrades over the years, but still holds the stylish yet traditional features origin

al to the building. Here you can create an intimate ambiance for a wedding, a bridal or baby shower, family gathering, a business meeting or even host a large charity dance event with up to 200 guests. It features high ceilings, warm wood floors, expansive ballroom, a gorgeous fireplace, AV system, a large elevated stage, and a kitchen. The space also features an elegant Tea Room that can be rented separately for a smaller group or meeting space. Brides are also able to use and enjoy a comfy bridal suite for her big day. At our unique event space, sit back and enjoy tons of natural light, beautiful architectural design, centralized location and stunning backdrops for your event photos. Sunshine, Sandals & Sisterhood! 🌞👡🎨

Last night’s meeting was hosted by our fabulous Culture & Arts Committee, and it was all about summer vibes and creative giving! Members showed up in their best flip-flops—some stylish, some silly, and all full of personality!

We snacked on build-your-own sandwich boxes and got right to work crafting items that will be sold at the Alachua Fall Festival to raise funds for the GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club. From flower arrangements and bird feeders to reindeer food, ornaments, hot cocoa packs, and more—we poured love and laughter into every piece.

It was a night of friendship, fun, and fundraising—exactly what our club is all about. 💚
