💪✨ Empowered Women Empower Communities ✨💪

A few weeks ago, the GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club hosted a Community Self-Defense Class for women in our area — and it was truly an empowering experience!

We learned practical self-defense skills, gained awareness, built confidence, and walked away feeling stronger and more prepared. Events like this remind us how important it is for women to feel safe, supported, and equipped.

We are incredibly grateful for the amazing instructors who volunteered their time to teach us, guide us, and pour into our community. Your dedication makes a difference.

Thank you to every woman who attended — your courage, energy, and willingness to learn inspires us all. 💛

🧡 Friendsgiving With the GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club 🧡

One of the greatest blessings of being part of the GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club is the women themselves. We genuinely love, encourage, and lift each other up — not just through our community service projects, but in everyday life.

This week, we gathered for a special Friendsgiving, and it reminded us just how grateful we are for the friendships we’ve built, the support we share, and our shared heart for serving others.

From laughter and stories to planning new ways to give back, it was the sweetest reminder that when women come together with purpose and kindness, incredible things happen.

🍁 Alachua Fall Harvest Festival — Thank You, Community! 🍁
The GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club had such a wonderful day at the Alachua Fall Harvest Festival! We loved seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new friends, and sharing the heart behind our mission.
This year, our booth helped raise funds for our ongoing community service projects — but we also had a special focus: fighting human trafficking.
Through our partnership with GFWC Florida and the Blue Campaign, we sold denim items to support awareness, education, and prevention efforts across our state. Every purchase made at our booth helps shine a light on a very real issue and supports the work being done to protect vulnerable individuals.
💙 Thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated, shopped, or simply shared a kind word. Your support helps us continue serving Alachua through scholarships, children’s literacy programs, women’s health education, safety initiatives, and so much more.
Together, we are making a difference — one project, one event, and one act of kindness at a time.
