Dark Star Orchestra was on fire last night. One of the best Eyes I have ever witnessed. Thanks to DSO, Frog Alley, Mass Concerts, Empire Live and High Peaks Productions for putting together such a great show. We would like to especially thank the Grateful Dead for putting the music out there and the Deadheads who keep the music alive . Love you guys.

Big Shrimp, in collaboration with Guthrie Bell Productions, is thrilled to announce an Albany residency this Fall at Ophelia's on Broadway, scheduled for three Thursdays: October 17th, October 31st, and November 14th!

The October 31st show will be the return of their annual Two-Set Albany Halloween Extravaganza, featuring an elaborate production with a unique theme and a costume contest. In previous years, the band’s former entity took on the roles of Spinal Tap (2022) and the Blues Brothers (2023), complete with storytelling, visual elements, and creative art structures.

The residency's first and third nights will also feature another act, with Escaper opening on October 17th, and the November 14th act to be announced.

Tickets for the residency are on sale now including a 3-Night Package: Buy TWO nights and get the third night FREE. Single-night tickets are priced at $15, and a package for all three shows is available for $30.

Kicking off the weekend on Friday at 4:30 we welcome to the Throwdown stage! A five piece Americana/roots band from Burlington, VT. Their sound ranges from bluegrass rock n roll to country & freak folk. The band writes in a wholeheartedly collaborative effort, with each member trading off on vocal duties. Make sure you get your campsite set up in time to catch The Wormdogs firing up the weekend!!

Neon Avenue at Putnam Place tonight celebrating the music of Jerry Garcia. I know many of you will go see the Deadbeats in Troy. If that ends early come on up to Saratoga.The boys will be playing until the wee hours.

Twenty-Nine years ago today, we lost Jerry Garcia. Tonight we celebrate his life with Neon Avenue performing the songs of Jerry and the Grateful Dead at Putnam Place. As many of you may remember, I was in the hospital awaiting heart surgery when the news reported his death. I immediately told the nurse that I had to go to San Fransisco to be with my fellow Deadheads but was told that if I left, they would be soon reporting my death. Luckily for me, the surgery went well and 29 years later I am still here. I hope to see you out tonight to honor the man whose music and soulfulness will live forever. Doors are at 8:00 with the show starting around 9:00.
