Hi Friends, by now you’ve probably seen my blast of posts about my newest community arts project, Albany Seen&Heard. We’ve about 2 weeks until the submission deadline (Feb 3) and we need more submissions to make the project and show a success!

Hello Creatives! Welcome to Albany Seen&Heard, a canvas for your stories and a stage for your voices.

In a world that often rushes by, we believe in the power of art to connect, resonate, and make us feel truly seen and heard. Whether you're a painter, sculptor, photographer, poet, storyteller, or other visual or spoken word creator, this is your invitation to join us on a journey of self-revelation through art.

Your art is a language, and we want to amplify your unique voice, be it through brushstrokes on a canvas or the raw energy of a poetry slam.

Everyone in the community is invited to submit; the theme of the art call is to express something personal about yourself, your identity, viewpoints, or experiences through your original creation.

Finalists, chosen by an esteemed panel of artists of diverse backgrounds, are invited to showcase their creations at Cass Ceramics in Albany, California. Deadline to submit is FEBRUARY 3, 2024.
