Sabine Ball was born in Germany and survived the fire-bombing of Dresden during WWII.
After moving to the U.S., she felt that her life lacked purpose, so she purchased a 150-acre property near Albion on the Mendocino Coast in 1968. This came to be known as โthe Land,โ a haven for young seekers, artists, and spiritual explorers.
When the Holy Spirit broke out in revival in the 70s, she and the rest of the community gave their lives to Jesus, renaming it to โthe Lordโs Land.โ
She later returned to Dresden to minister to marginalized youth there and became known locally as โthe Mother Theresa of Dresden.โ
She went home to meet her Savior on July 7, 2009. Her 100th birthday would have been September 9th of this year.
