Well this one is LONG PAST DUE!! This wedding season has been keeping me..busy to say the least, but I could not wait any longer! This summer I went up to and spent a couple days hanging with these two. He dropped to a knee, they popped champagne, we canoed around lake, ate good food, drank good drinks, SAW A MOOSE, hung by the campfire, slept in sweet tents and woke up to a mist covered lake for coffee while the sun rose over the mountains. IT WAS MAGICAL.

Let me explain.. I steal moments from time. Moments that would stay with you for a long time but would eventually fade taken by the limitations of our mental capacity.

These moments, your moments, deserve to be honored. To be remembered. To be crafted in a gallery to tell YOUR STORY. And when you share your story, it becomes much more than a story but it becomes your LEGACY. Something that can never be forgotten but instead enjoyed by your loved ones for generations.

So how did we get here you ask!?
Well when you send me a waterfall as inspo before the wedding day, you better believe we gonna hike to that waterfall! M&E were so incredible making our way up the mountain in their wedding attire. Didn’t even blink when I pointed up to the waterfall saying “you down??”

10 minutes later we’re all out of breath again.. seems like a reoccurring theme with this couple. Long hikes up steep terrain to find surreal beauty just like our engagement sesh at the great sand dunes in CO. (If you haven’t peeped those shots you can find em on my website 🤘🏼) davidjessephoto.com

Not only did we get to the waterfall area but they were down to get up in the wet rocks so we could get the perfect framing and snag some insanely cool shots to add to their forever story. To their legacy.

This last weekend we had the incredible honor of capturing Aubrey and RJ’s wedding at The La Bonita Ranch in New Mexico! Hands down some of the best people we’ve ever met, and the location… don’t get me started.. absolutely insane. Quite literally “from the mountains to the prairies”..

The ceremony was heartfelt and beautifully set in the field at the base of the hills and the barn reception to follow was a party that won’t soon be forgotten!

I had the greatest time two weeks ago capturing Holly and Boone in Moab, Utah for their engagement session!!

We made the trek with their two pups out to Jeep arch (which is incredible by the way and almost no tourists/hikers) and caught the most incredible views right as the sun was setting in the canyon.

We popped some champagne, took some crazy cool photos and played with the dogs as the colors in the canyon changed from pale oranges to rich reds to deep blues and purples.

we started the hike back right as it was getting dark and had the bonus adventure of playing find the trail in the dark a few times! Haha

A month of shooting weddings in Mexico —> thanks to all of you who have joined me on the journey 🙌🏼

Before I get into anything of course I have to first say a huge congratulations to Jeremy and ! Their wedding was perfectly intimate, surrounded only by their closest friends and family at . Thank you for allowing me the honor of capturing such a sweet day for you both. 🙌🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

For me, this was wedding number two in Mexico this past December. I came back to the states for a few days after the first one to shoot an INCREDIBLE Indian wedding in Phoenix (so many photos and videos to come from that), and then flew from there straight back to Cancún.

was great to work with. The property itself is really beautiful, kind of tucked away between a pretty massive section of jungle and the beach. Not too too big, which is actually pretty nice considering sometimes with these massive all inclusive resorts, it can take 20 minutes just to walk from your room to where you want to go. The transportation with the resort to and from the airport was top-notch, easy to find and I didn’t have to wait more than 15 minutes in either direction.

In the Caribbean, you never really have full control over what the weather is gonna do. It comes in and out so fast that I could look like one thing in the morning and an hour later it’s completely turned. Danielle and Jeremy had to make a decision the morning of to bring the ceremony and reception under a covered patio instead of being on the beach because of the rain that sure enough did come in and drench everything! The resort obviously deals with this all the time however and was very accommodating in getting everything moved and set up beautifully within a few short hours.

In real estate, they say the golden rule is location, location, location, but take it from me, with weddings it’s people, people, people. Don’t get me wrong, If you’re gonna do a wedding, making it a destination wedding in Cancun is great way to do it. But I promise you, who you surround yourself with that day is even more important!

Well, this was incredible! You have got to check out this unbelievable wedding at four seasons 👉🏼👉🏼 I could not have been honored to capture this beautiful ceremony and the devout love between and Abe. A couple weeks ago I flew into Vegas for a lightning fast engagement shoot with the coolest couple! Through an incredible series of connections and support we were given the opportunity to do their engagement photos on the incredible Challenger 850! It makes is so much cooler too that J is a pilot IRL. Huge shoutout to @cirrusav and @christicordo for helping make this happen. Much love and congrats again to L+J!!

🔔🔔 About the bells… 👇🏼👇🏼 FIVE MINUTES OF BELLS DURING A WEDDING!!!.. . . These bells are incredible.. and incredibly loud. They can be heard all throughout the Santa Fe plaza and ring twice an hour.. —> So here is what you need to know if getting married in the Santa Fe plaza area.. First off, let me just say this was a very particular event that is not common. There was a music festival happening in the plaza that week and as a special ringing of the bells they went for FIVE minutes straight. The timing of it was slightly comical in that there happened to be a wedding going on at @Lafonda hotel which is right across the street from the church. . . Here’s what you need to know.. 1. The bells do not normally ring like this! 2. The bells DO ring twice every hour. Once five minutes before the hour and then again ON the hour. Granted its usually only for 15-30 seconds and not 5 minutes! 3. The wedding coordinators at the hotels in/near the plaza (especially at @lafondasantafe ) are very very good and try to help build the wedding timelines around the bells so what you see happening in the video doesn’t occur more frequently. 4. No matter where you’re getting married in the plaza, please make sure to speak with your venue coordinator to double check the bells time/schedule against your ceremony time. If you or someone you know is getting married and think I might be a good fit shoot me a DM and lets chat. Cheers!
