Good Evening,

We would like to thank everyone who supported us over the past 6 years. We have truly enjoyed serving each and every family and customer!

As many of you know, we have been closed since March 2023 due to mandatory requirements. One of which is to install of sprinkler system throughout our facility.

We have worked tirelessly to reopen Harvin’s Haven. However, the time as come for us to announce that (for now) we will be closed indefinitely. The estimation we received for the building of approximately 2,800-3,000 square feet with a building capacity of approximately 150 came in at $189,000.00.

My parents opened Harvin’s Haven to have something to do in their retirement years as well as provide a business that the Alcolu community could be proud of as we served Clarendon County and the surrounding communities. We have hosted many family reunions, retirement and birthday parties, weddings, receptions and church events with folks who came from all over the state of South Carolina and the United States.

Yet, while we are unable to provide access to the building, the property area which consists of 2 pavilions, a playground, a volleyball net, a full basketball court, two portable restrooms (with water), and a fishing pond is still available. You are welcome to bring lawn chairs, tents, fryers and grills as well as bounce houses. You can call for further information and make reservations.

Also, we are offering nonprofit organizations such as the Council on Aging, Disability Board, Foster Care, Veterans, public schools, etc. with opportunities to visit the property for picnics or cookouts free. Please note…..we have ALWAYS provided this service. And would like to continue.

Again, thank you for allowing us to serve you. We have thoroughly enjoyed each moment! And yes! We will miss serving and seeing you. Please pray for us and with us as we move forward. We have placed this in God’s hands. Our hearts and minds are at peace.
