Tuesday Tips! 📋️✍🏼

When using acrylic signage, there should ALWAYS be a background on it, whether clouded like this, or painted with a color that's incorporated into your wedding palate.

Otherwise, it will be extremely difficult for your guests to see and becomes a waste of 💰️ and ain't nobody got time for that!

Tuesday Tips! Let's talk about place setting design! 🍽️

For this wedding:

There's no question that this bride loved white 🤍! But adding in some important pops of color were crucial to adding dimension to the table.

The bride chose to use a decorative floral plate as a charger instead of the typical metallic plastic one many caterers offer, and it was a beautiful choice! It really elevated the setting.

Also so many elements go into deciding a napkin fold! When having a charger plate and/or a plated salad, you can't do a fold on top of the plate - so that eliminates a few. When having place cards and favors, you don't have room for a knot or something with height. So we opted for the classic "Waterfall" fold.

The bride also originally wanted a white napkin, but at the walk through I spoke of how the napkin would blend into the white table cloth, so she opted to go with a green that ended up perfectly matching the charger design!

2024 was a difficult year personally for me. It meant I relied a bit more on help from others. From my officiant pal Randy taking over a wedding ceremony the day after my dog died because I couldn't get out of bed, to having close an event for me the week after my dad had major heart surgery. To bringing on assistants ( and you saints!) that made my life so much easier, and to my BFF Danielle who will be taking some Day-of Coordination for Farrever After Events in the future. It was the most humbling season. For the entirety of my career, I've done it all myself. And maybe this year was a lesson to pump the brakes and help myself a bit more by asking for help - or scheduling my help haha. So thank you to all of those who lended a hand or an ear this year. I appreciate you
