New World Renaissance Faire

New World Renaissance Faire The New World Renaissance Faire at Artifest 2011 What is the New World Renaissance Faire? Where is The New World Renaissance Faire? What is Artifest? YES!

The New World Renaissance Faire is the brainchild of Eric Stoveken (Fight Choreographer Extraordinaire and local Author) and Brian DiBonaventure (formerly the Artistic Director for The Midsummer Renaissance Faire and the Kutztown Renaissance Faire). Its the tale of an acting troupe looking for patronage, while trying to keep their crazy director and his weird ideas of a lost Shakespeare play from

ruining it. It is being held on the grounds of The Museum of Indian Culture on the beautiful Lehigh Parkway in Allentown, PA during ARTIFEST. 2825 Fish Hatchery Road to be exact. Just minutes from Rts 78, 22, 309 and 222. Artifest is a Multi-Cultural event being sponsored by the Museum of Indian Cultures. Its goal is to celebrate not only our diversity but the things we have in common in our community that brings us together. Featuring entertainment, vendors, and food from various cultures (Pennsylvania German, Latino, Indian, Ukrainian to name a few). We are proud to be a part of this event with our Renaissance Village and to support our friends at The Museum of Indian Culture. When is Artifest and The New World Renaissance Faire? It is taking place June 11th and 12th, 2011 from 10 am - 6pm. Rain or Shine. How much is Admission? Admission is only $5 for adults
$4 for Seniors and Children (11 - 17)
Free Admission for Children 11 and under! Is it Family Friendly? And there is an area set up specifically for children! What else is happening at the New World Renaissance Faire? We have Middle Eastern Belly Dancing by Sefire Phaedra "The Iron Dancer"
Music, Storytelling and Comedy by The Mad Dash Minstrels. Renaissance Music by Terris Serpentis. Celtic acoustic by Jack and Brenda. Plus drama and swashbuckling sword fights. And Renaissance Vendors selling clothing, jewelry etc...and more! What is the Weapons Policy? Unfortunately because we are taking part in a larger event outside of our Renaissance Village, we have to ask that you leave your edged weapons in the car or at home.

Greetings! We've noticed a little activity on the page in recent days, and as such wanted to post a little update. The personnel behind the New World Renaissance Faire are no longer affiliated with the Artifest event. This has been the case since shortly after the 2012 event.

We wish the lovely folks at the Museum of Indian Cultures all the success in the world on their future endeavors. The New World Renaissance Faire may pop up again elsewhere some time in the future, so keep your eyes on this space.

Thanks for your interest and support.
