The surprise appearance of Kevin Kern, University of Mount Union's theater director, rehearsing for Shakespeare at the Castle, elevated the day's splendor.

Double header in Alliance! ⚾️ Glamorgan Castle is pleased to offer self-guided tours on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 11am-3pm, while the Carnation Festival Vintage Baseball Game is held on the lawn from 9am-5pm. Join us for an experience combining Alliance history and vintage baseball charm. We eagerly anticipate your visit. A $10 donation is requested for tours, which include stairs, for individuals aged 13 and above.

Did you know that the castle's basement houses a swimming pool? It was once heated by a 1500-gallon hot water boiler, the pool measured 28' x 35'. As a result of the absence of a filtration system, the pool required complete emptying, scrubbing, and refilling every 10 days. The pool was complemented by dressing rooms for men and women, located on either side of the entrance, and a shower at the far end of the room. A brass railing encircled the pool, featuring a diving platform at the deep end. The walls of the pool displayed painted beach scenes. Although previously inaccessible to visitors due to liability concerns, the pool is now viewable through a custom glass door, courtesy of generous donors. It is the Castle Crusaders’ dream to bring this and many other features back to its original glory and we do that through tours and special events throughout the year. We welcome you to visit and discover this incredible attraction, along wirh many others! We offer tours for just a $10 donation each person over age 12 every Friday at 1 and 2 pm and also every first weekend of the month on Saturdays 10-1 and Sundays 1-4. Don't forget you can pre-purchase your tickets for our very first Vintage Bridal Show on June 14th from 2-4 on our Glamorgan Castle website, or you can pre-purchase tickets Fridays and Saturdays from 1-3 at Glamorgan Castle. The admission fee is a $35.00 donation per person. Come spend an afternoon with us and enjoy an array of vintage gowns that each has a love story to tell. Some of the gowns will be worn or displayed by a member of the family to which they belong, and we will share the history behind each one. After the show, please join us for refreshments and a walk around the castle. All proceeds of our event go towards repairs and renovations to the Castle. Please come and support the Castle Crusaders in our quest to keep this iconic landmark for people to enjoy for many years to come.
