Good morning!

Picture this (pun intended)! You just had your photo session with your photographer last weekend and he/she has still not given you a set of proofs. Why on earth is it taking so long? Here's why in my case. First, I sift through the 300+ pictures that I shoot during one session and select the best (I define these as the ones that are sharp, correctly exposed well-composed, and evoke some positive emotion in my client) "straight out of camera (SOOC)." I am usually left with about 30-40 photos with which to work. Then comes the correction and artistic enhancement of each photo. All photographers are different. I tend to spend 30-60 minutes editing one photo, attempting to get it just right in color and exposure. Here's an example of a Before & After. In the end, I hope to make my clients happy with my final product.

Now you know why it may be worth the wait!
