And just like that, it’s December.

The past month has been a blur. I’ve spent a lot of time with my family as we continue to navigate the unexpected loss of my dad, while still fulfilling commitments to my photography clients.

It’s been tough, but it’s been so valuable to use this time to reflect and appreciate the love and life I am surrounded by. The opportunities to create and capture beautiful moments for people have been truly so cathartic.

With that, I want to thank every one of you who have paid for a session, liked and commented on my posts, or referred my business to someone. You keep me going!

Meet little Ezra at 10 days old, dressed in the cutest Santa costume. He was the quietest, sleepiest little smoosh and he has so much hair already! I just couldn't wait to get this little sneak peek out while I continue working on a wedding gallery!

While it may be challenging to book a newborn session so close to your delivery date, it may be easier when it comes to achieving those sleepy pictures. My own little one was so alert after those first two weeks!

This sweet little girl had two separate sessions to celebrate her first year of life. This one was to celebrate her Korean heritage in honor of her recently passed grandmother. Her parents did a beautiful job in finding all the perfect details to represent this tradition called "Doljabi" at her grandmother's favorite park.

From what I understood, the baby is placed in front of various objects which symbolize certain fortunes with respect to the baby's life. The first item(s) the baby grabs represent their fortune!

This was my first time shooting at a cotton field, and it was such a breath taking experience!

Giving the little ones a chance to be silly and have fun in their own way throughout a session is a bargaining tactic I use often to make sure I get those sweet genuine smiles you want for your pictures.

This little man's eyes have been reportedly becoming brown after being blue since birth. Apparently a baby will be settled into their permanent eye color by nine months, but may continue to experience colors changes up until the age of 3!

This just proves that things can change in an instant, and you may not remember the shade of blue their eyes once were. It's so important to capture any memory you can, and there's no time like the present. Any stage of life is worth freezing in time.

I need to update my Instagram bio to "just posts pictures of her husband, like, all the time". Can't stop, won't stop.

When you do you couples session with me, don't be afraid to ask to get some individual shots of either of you! I keep my husband on my Lock Screen and I always get asked, "Oh! Who's THAT? He looks like a model". Trust me, it's worth it.

There is nothing more meaningful to me than natural connection between me and the people I work with.

Sometimes that just means being alumni from the same university as both the groom and all his groomsmen, and yelling, "Hail Southern!" to liven up portraits before the reception. To say the least, we had a blast!

In-home newborn sessions are all about getting cozy with your little family and letting me capture your joy.

I don't push timing, I don't force posing, I don't worry over who's looking where. It's about remembering how loved this new little life is, and that comes naturally to you.

I let you take your time with feeding, I let you break for a diaper change, I let siblings have a mental/emotional break. I take the time to get to know your parents. For this brief moment in time, I'm another relative here to celebrate you.

As parents, you have so much to handle right now. Give yourselves the grace to just be in the moment. The imagery will speak for itself.

Did you know that you can have me tag along to ANY of your fall family activities for a more natural, candid portrait session? This is especially helpful for families with small kids, as they reasonably have shorter attention spans.

Including me in your family activities allows for you to focus more on spending time with each other and less time focusing on telling your kids to sit still and smile (unless of course we want the cuties to sit on pumpkins, like this!)

One of my photographic works was selected to be part of the Photography Exhibition (bottom left). I had a great afternoon browsing through other talented artwork, having lunch with my supportive family, and watching Liam play in the water fountain. This spunky little girl turns one today, and I have been impatient to post her smash cake photos! The minute she put on her fairy dress, she started kicking her little legs like she was about to fly right out of her daddy's arms! Such a sweet little girl.

What's more - she shared her cake with her doggo, and I literally could not get enough! Definitely a shoot to remember.

POV: You marry your best friend and then get to run around downtown together.

Amanda + Justin officially tied the knot, but their family was already blended so perfectly. These had the sweetest vows, the sweetest guests, and the most kind and thoughtful kids I have ever met. I know marriage will be an experience that they both deserve. Cheers!

Officially using OMOKB ("oh my osh kosh bigosh") instead of OMG. Jameson was suspicious of the camera during this little portrait session, but that didn't hold him back from showing off his cuteness.

I'm super stoked about updating my website right now, so I can better demonstrate my work to potential and existing clients. As I make these changes, I'm finally getting to post my content.

I have to say, this wedding was by far the coolest I've ever been to. The museum was such an amazing experience, and the fact that these two had a classy "Jurassic Park" theme for no reason other than the fact that there is a GIANT DINOSAUR in the reception space just did it for me.

My heart gets so incredibly full when someone books with me because someone they know is a previous client of mine. Shelley and her husband happened to be expecting TWINS just MONTHS after Shelley's sister-in-law gave birth!

They say it takes a village, and it's true. I'm so thankful for the community that surrounds the people I work with, because it gives me so many more opportunities to do what I love. Referrals and repeat business are not only appreciated, but so vital to the heart of this industry.

So, thank you to anyone who has worked with me more than once. Thank you to anyone who has referred me to their friends, family, loved ones, FB groups, and strangers. Capturing these two sweet sisters was such a blast! There's just so much magic in youth, and sometimes I find myself vicariously feeling the same excitement and wonderment just getting to watch them explore during my sessions.

Do we get the directed/posed portraits? Yes. But it's no surprise that the parents end up loving the candids SO MUCH BETTER. Why? Because it shows WHO they are in that moment in time.

Everyday is a new memory, so you can never take too many photos. We never realize we didn't take enough photos until that's all we have left. Take the photos.

I had such a sweet time documenting these two as they impatiently wait for the arrival of their sweet baby girl 🎀

Klara reached out at 37 weeks telling me she had just decided she wanted maternity photos, so I was certainly on a time crunch! But it was so worth it, because this gallery turned out so dreamy! I'm obsessed.

Any day now, Klara and Archie are going to be absolutely enthralled with the beauty of parenthood and I'm cheering them on. Just by getting to know their energies and personalities, I can tell that they are going to fit the roles as mom and dad SO WELL. Can't wait to meet your baby girl!
