Happy Easter from the Double Diamond Bar Ranch! We dyed our own, farm fresh eggs, which are mostly brown with a few green, and ended up with some beautiful, earthy colors! Our ranch dog, Honey, joined in the egg hunt and ran off with a few of them!

Wildflower Wednesday! The bright blue flowers of Alpine Forget-Me-Nots (Eritrichium nanum) add a beautiful dash of color to the alpine zone of the Tetons. This picture was taken on the Lower Saddle, between the Grand and Middle Tetons. This cushion plant is the official plant of Grand Teton National Park!

Wildflower Wednesday! Fireweed (Epilobium angustifolium) is named for its ability to grow in recently burned areas. It also grows along the roadways of the Double Diamond Bar Ranch and in the surrounding mountains. It is a beautiful deep pink and can reach 5 feet tall!

Wildflower Wednesday! This beautiful and distinctive flower is Indian paintbrush (Castilleja linariaefolia). It is most often a vivid scarlet, but some species can also be found with orange, white, yellow, or pink flowers. It is the state flower of Wyoming, home of the Double Diamond Bar Ranch, and can be found from the Snake River bottom to high mountain meadows!

Wildflower Wednesday! Mountain bluebells (Mertensia ciliata) can be seen primary along streams, and are eaten by several native animal species. Keep an eye out for them on your next hike near the Double Diamond Bar Ranch!

Wildflower Wednesday! 🌸 This is Sticky Geranium (Geranium viscosissimum), a beautiful wildflower that grows in the mountains surrounding the Double Diamond Bar Ranch. It can vary from white to a dark rose-purple.
