I’m offering this big, beautiful boy to the perfect home. He is very close to my heart, very close. It’s a difficult decision for me, but he is very lonely for attention so I will be considering all applicants in order to find a suitable partner in life that he deserves.
He was sold exclusively as a trail horse a few years back. Then I found out he was jumped to the point of exhaustion, ridden to extreme of becoming skin and bones and lost himself to slaves of the show world only to be discarded and ended up in the kill pen. So I rescued him.
He is a very brave horse and will take you confidently out in the open fields or on the Back 40 without hesitation, but he does have a big step so he isn’t suitable for a beginner. He is vey safe, no buck or rear and will stand quietly in the cross ties and loads beautifully. He has an upright carriage which makes him appear bigger and more powerful than his 16’2 frame.
This horse is a sweetheart and wants to please and take care of you. He would make a remarkable obstacle trail competition horse as he loves the water and not intimidated by anything. He has a big personality with a big heart.
He is completely sound although he has had an injury to his right hind pastern when he was just 13 days old, which required surgery.
He is registered AQHA as an Appendix and was homebred by our stallion, Achieva out of a TB mare.
Hooch is an 11 year old gelding. Lives out to pasture 24/7 and is very hearty.
