Greetings from the Front Porch.

I happen to have 2- 9x13 pans of cream puffs on hand. There would be 24 in each pan. They would be $12 per pan. Call, text, or message me if interested.

The Front porch will be open this Saturday, August 31. I will be serving until 10 am as we have an event out of building at noon.

Our menu this week will be breakfast casserole, muffins, and fresh fruit.

Greetings from the Front Porch. Asking you to stay safe out n this heat wave. Whatever you have to do outside, it will be there later.

 To those of you who attended the Alton Jubilee this past weekend we hope you all had a wonderful day, even though the temperature was a little high. We want you to remember that if you have any suggestions, get in touch with the people who are in charge and let them know what you would like to see for next year. To those of you who were just there to be entertained and enjoy a nice event we hope it proved to be a positive experience.

The Front Porch  has several events coming in the near future. September 28 will be our third annual reservation only event at The Front Porch.  this year our theme is sock Saturday night. We invite all to enjoy an evening of great food, fellowship, and great music by Kill Creek Rising.  tickets are $30 per person and you may call message or text 346-4632 for reservations.
Mill Street Market and our annual Hunters Feed will be on November 9.

The Front has a little extra left from tge weekend events. I have available 2 9x13 pans of beef and noodles left and 1 pan of chicken enchiladas left.
These would be heat and eat meals. They would be $15 per pan.
I will be in at tge cafe from 10:45 - 11:30 this morning if interested. Just message or call, or text.

Greetings from The Front Porch. Welcome to Alton tomorrow, Saturday, August 24 for our annual Alton jubilee. We welcome all to our small town and hope you have a wonderful day.
The Front Porch  will be open tomorrow at 7 AM . Our menu tomorrow will be biscuits and gravy or rolls and coffee.

We  will be serving a luncheon also. The menu for lunch are chicken enchiladas in a white sauce with corn salad, cookie and your drink. We welcome one and all. The cost for lunch is eight dollars.

The Front Porch will also have soda for sale that is iced and cold for one dollar per can. We welcome you all and if you need a cool place to sit come and see us we will look forward to seeing each and everyone of you.

On Saturday, September 28, 2024, The Front Porch will feature SOCK HOP SATURDAY NITE. Outdoor dining will begin at 6:30 - 7 with a stocked appetizer bar. 7-8 pm dinner will be served, and from 8-10 The Front Porch will feature KILL CREEK RISING for you listening and dancing pleasure.

Our menu for the evening will feature: 1/3 lb. BACON CHEESEBURGER, BACON & CARMELIZED ONION POTATO SALAD, CORN ON THE COB, AND FOR DESSERT WE WILL FEATURE BANANA SPLITS.

THIS IS A RESERVATION ONLY EVENT. We welcome all to great food, fellowship, and great music. Of course, if weather becomes an issue we will move inside. The cost is $30 per person.

If you happen to have dietary issues that we need to take care, please let us know.

Reservations may begin at any time. We have such a good time at this event and it has become a regular each year.

Greetings from The Front Porch. Love with the cooler weather and moisture, but I need sunshine.
The Front Porch will be open this Saturday. We will have Biscuits & Gravy and another menu choice, but not sure at this time what it will be. I guess you will be surprised.

The Front Porch is going into a very busy season, so I will post booked dates in case you need to book.

Dates to remember going forward are Sat., August 24 - Alton Jubilee. Sat., September 28 - Sock Hop Saturday Nite featuring KILL CREEK RISING, Sat., November 9 - Mill Street Market Craft Show and Hunters Feed in the evening, and Sat., December 7 - Annual Chocolate Festival and Tree Lighting ceremony.

The Front Porch will be open this Saturday. Our Menu this weekend will be French Toast and Sausage or Biscuits and Gravy

The Front Porch will not be open next weekend as a few days of R&R are in the books. We will resume Breakfast on August 10.

Greetings from The Front Porch. Can you believe it is almost the end of July?

The Front Porch will be open this Saturday. Our menu will be Breakfast Meatballs and Cheesy Hashbrowns or Biscuits and Gravy.

I am sorry for being late this week. I sometimes get caught up with a project and completely forget the basics. This week it has been canning.

I had the privilege of serving a 2 day auction last weekend. This was the third year that I have gotten to do this. This couple have spent their adult lives collecting from all over the world, along with their regular jobs. What a collection they had built over the decades. As I watched them these two days, I could see in their faces and actions how hard it was to part with these things. They knew every detail of each item and were able to answer questions about anything. They have nurtured and taken care of their things for so many years, I am sure there will be thoughts of wonder as to whether their things will be taken care of. The Front Porch would like to wish Deb and Dan Hahn the best and thank them for passing on their treasures so others may enjoy.

I will have extra today a meal o f meat calzones, chips, apple cake, and fruit. At this time I have 10 available. Tgey are $10 per meal.

I also have 2 ready to bake 4-meat pizzas. They are $17.50 each.

Greetings from The Front Porch. Summer has arrived. Enjoy the sun, but exercise common sense in the upcoming heat.

The Front Porch will be open Saturday. Our menu will be breakfast casserole and coffee cake or biscuits and gravy.

The Front Porch is entering a very busy season, beginning with Harvest. We will provide harvest meals for any and all when I hear that the first truckload of wheat has been dumped in the elevator we will begin. All I need is for you to call in and reserve your meals by 9 am. They will be ready to pick up at 11.30.

November 9 Alton will be hosting MILL STREET MARKET CRAFT SHOW AND AN EVENING HUNTERS FEED.

December 7 Alton will host our annual CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL and Christmas Lighting Ceremony.

I am currently working on a new product for The Front Porch. I am working on a plan to provide ready to bake pizza. I am in the process of finding the right crust, comparing prices on other ingredients, and getting a system going. I will keep you updated as my progress continues. I may be crazy but feel like this might be a great added product. Be sure to let me know if you have any suggestions for me.

August 1, 2024 will begin the 5th year for The Front Porch to be a member of the business community. Cannot believe it has been that long. From a silly idea that I put before a friend during harvest to present, it is amazing what has happened. We have been very blessed by the community and have had Gods favor in this adventure. We hope all feel the same. We appreciate your support and continued prayers for success.

Greetings from The Front Porch. Lovely weather we are having. I am so enjoying it.

I am needing some input from patrons. I am thinking of a new product line at The Front Porch so I need to see if it would be a viable venture.

Would there be interest in having ready to bake pizzas from The Front Porch? I would also have gluten free pizzas.

Rather than go head first into an idea, I would like to see if this would be a viable product. Please give me your opinions.
All ingredients would be fresh and ready to bake at home.

All input is needed and appreciated. I sometimes get these ideas and my mind gets ahead of itself. If I can get opinions while I am researching, things will slow down a bit.
