Saving One Tail @ a Time

Just look at these eyes, Duke didn’t intend to come to CPHS. He didn’t ask for his owner to get sick. In fact, Duke was set to be euthanized due to his age and most shelters being at capacity. As soon as he stepped into the veterinary clinic, they knew this dog was special. Duke’s tail was wagging and he was happy. He’s only 7. He has a lot of life to live!!! He seemed like he could be the best addition to a home! So, we took Duke into the shelter. Central PA Humane Society Wellness Center gave him an exam, medicated his ears, fixed up his skin and he’s good as new! Duke loves people. He does great outside the shelter at events. He does fine with other dogs. He’s not the greatest with cats, so we prefer a home without them for him. Duke may have been initially saved by our staff, but the real hero for Duke will be his adopter. We think Duke will make someone so very happy. GIVING TUESDAY is Dec 3rd this year, please set your phones to help Duke and all of his friends at the shelter while they await their "HAPPY EVER AFTER STORY." If adoption is not an option for you, consider making a donation; and if you're unable to donate, remember that sharing is free and can make a significant difference! #GivingTuesdaycampaign #CPHSGivingTuesday (See more below about Giving Tuesday) The day the world gives back! $3.1 Billion was donated to non-profits around the world in 2023. The CPHS ANIMALS received a little over $5,000 of it to HELP with over $400,000 medical costs for our animals! We're setting a goal for $10,000 this year! That means set your phones for Tuesday Dec. 3rd starting at 7AM to turn your $20, $30, $40 or more donation into double! That's right, a $50 donation becomes a $100 donation while funds last! So remember to donate early for those neglected, unwanted and abused animals who are waiting for their Happy Ever After Home just like Duke! A link to donate to to follow closer to Dec 2nd.
