A wish was granted last night that was wished upon for four years!
Soaring Heights of Altoona had their first ever PROM last night for autistic individuals.
They never thought it could be done! In order to show them that it could be done you had to first at least attempt it! I can’t describe to you how many tears were shed for these babies right here!
The wish was granted by Merle Tipton, VFW of Martinsburg by providing the venue. The parents got together and got them snacks and crackers and drinks. If I would’ve known and had more time, I would’ve most certainly found a way to provide them a dinner. I will say no more on that but I will say they had the time of their life and it was amazing. I can’t describe it.
We have officially been informed that Soaring Heights School will now officially hold a dance for these special individuals because we pulled it off. I have been personally touched by autism and behavioral management individuals. I knew I could do this.
It was by far the most magical thing we’ve ever seen!
Thank you so much Mark Schultz and Campbell Detwiler. I’m not saying this was easy because it wasn’t. It was absolutely beautiful in every aspect.

We couldn’t shine light on it until the dance was over! Thank you to everyone involved!
