What does a coordinator do??
They represent you and implement the plan you decided on during those pre-event planning calls. Have a family member who wants to steam roll in and change plans? Your coordinator is the one who will shut that down (in a nice way). Have a vendor who wants to go rogue and do their own thing? Your coordinator will keep them on track.

An event coordinator takes the pressure of making your event day flow smoothly off your shoulders. They make it possible for you to enjoy your special day because you will not be worrying about “what is coming next” you will simply be enjoying each moment as it comes.

1. They will “Check Your Work”. Basically, in the months leading up to your evwnt, I will go over all final details with you and making sure nothing has fallen through the cracks. This is exactly what your coordinator should do for you; we comb through all the details to make sure that everything needed on your day will be there and that no aspect has been forgotten.

2. They will take over vendor communication. As your day draws closer you will get busier. Guests may be coming into town, there are parties to attend, your normal life is still happening, and you probably are tired of chatting with vendors about the logistical points of your day. Your coordinator should take this over for you. I personally love seeing the looks of relief on my client’s faces when I tell them that I will be handling vendor communication from here till the end of the event.

3. They will build your timeline. The timeline is the master document of the event day and dictates how your day will flow. It needs to be rigid enough to ensure everything will get done in your allotted rental times but also flexible enough that if something needs to be shifted a little it is easy to do. Your coordinator should be an expert in all things timeline, they should be able to ask you how you want your day to flow and build a timeline that will reflect your vision but also accounts for functionality and practicality.

4. They oversee everything on event day. Your coordinator will be the one who orchestrates the entire event day. They will oversee everything from set up to tear down. They will be the onsite contact for all vendors. They will make sure everyone is in place for the ceremony, and that all reception activities happen when and how they are supposed to. They will troubleshoot any issues that may come up. In essence they handle all the behind-the-scenes aspects so that you and your guests can just enjoy the show.

5. They are your advocate. When you hire a coordinator, it is their job to make sure your event day goes off just the way you envisioned it with ❤️ 😍

What do you ask when interviewing an Officiant for your precious day?

Here is a guide...

Experience: What do you do as an officiant?
❤️ I am legally ordained to marry a couple and will strive to meet the couples expectations for their ceremony.
How many weddings have you performed?
❤️ Est. 400+, in person, drive by, virtual, and by phone.
Personalization: Do you have a script or do you personalize each wedding?
❤️ I personalize each one, no two are alike just like the couple.
Time: How long are your ceremonies?
❤️ typically 25- 45 minutes depending on any special inclusions or unity ceremonies.
Communication: How will our pre-wedding communication look like?
❤️ 1st meet and greet consultation to interview, 2nd meeting dive in to hear your love story and expectations, 3rd meeting to confirm details and flow, 4th Rehearsal if selected, 5th showtime!
I am always available for communication in between meetings.
Vows: Can you help me write my vows?
❤️ yes
Marriage license: Will you help us obtain our marriage license?
❤️ I will share the links to obtain your marriage license. The most sought after license is out of Galveston County, JS 😃 it's pretty.
Location: Are you legally able to perform a marriage in our wedding location?
❤️ yes, I am legal anywhere in the US and can become legal to marry in various other countries.
Religion: Can you perform a wedding that incorporates our religions/cultures, or beit secular? ❤️ yes
Other: What are your fees?
❤️ $150 + depending on location, date, and inclusions desired
Do you have samples of ceremonies to show me?
❤️ it's my art, all original. Therefore I do not share my scripts but I can allow you to preview the script I prepare for you if I would be selected to officiate your wedding.
Will you be open to wear clothing or colors to match my theme?
❤️ yes
Are you open to take directions/suggestions from myself or my coordinator on how to orchestrate the ceremony?
❤️ of course, it's your day, I would be honored to be a part of it?
Is there any wedding you would deny to officiate? Please share details
❤️ yes, I would not officiate any wedding involving any demonic integration or suggestion in theme, music, clothing, etc.
If you have to cancel at the last minute, do you have a substitute to fill in?
❤️ yes, but in 17 years, I've never had to cancel.
Do you offer ceremonies in other languages?
❤️ yes, Spanish
Do you offer the option of a male or female officiant?
❤️ yes, my husband of 20+ years is also available. Pero el no habla Español 😆
Is rehearsal included?
❤️ No, this is an extra fee $50+ depending on location and time needed
Will you sign and mail the marriage license to the county for recording?
❤️ yes at no additional charge
How do you accept payment?
❤️ all major credit cards, cash, or zelle.
Do you have a contract to offer me?
❤️ Yes
