Baby Franco you were so sweet to photograph! Your parents are over the moon with your personality and growing their love for you by the day!

Grandma let me know how his dad had some reflections he journaled on the days he was at the hospital, which I think is so great! I think that journaling makes us better humans, better parents. We will put some of dad’s thoughts on the cover of Franco’s photo album and it will be a great start to family conversations over the years.

I can just imagine Franco’s parents face lighting up every time they tell the story about the day(s) when they were getting used to him and all the little cute faces he used to make, and an album and his dad’s journal to remind him how much he means to them and to the rest of his family.

Don’t forget to tell your babies how much you love them, no matter how old they are. Don’t forget to tell them the stories from before they were born, how it was to have them little. Hug them and kiss them before it gets awkward. Don’t let it get awkward!

I am no expert, but when I tell these stories to my five year old, I can tell he feels loved, he feels happy to know how much I loved him and wanted him before he was even conceived. I honestly think seeing his photos and hearing all the stories boosts his self esteem and sense of belonging because I see it in his face and his questions are of curiosity and wanting to know about why we wanted to have him.

Try it with your kids today and let me know how they reacted to your words of love and if they asked you more questions about how it was like when they were little! They’ll be out of your nest before your know it…🥹

In most Hispanic families who decide to celebrate a Quinceañera, I would say most have not photographed their daughter since pre-school years. So just based on that, I think documenting the youth of your daughter at 15 is worth the investment; even if you decide against a reception, you can still opt in for the portraits because chances are she won’t get to do it again until high school graduation or when she gets married.

I say all of this to give you perspective into how often you actually invest in a true professional portrait and the worth it accumulates over time, is priceless. Not to mention the confidence boost she will feel seeing herself in a beautiful dress, hair and make up done. Remember how you used to feel as a teenager? The portrait session will definitely be an unforgettable experience as well as a self esteem booster for a lot of these young girls!

Printing your family photos has never been so important, why? Because we take so many photos with our phone that they seem like they’re at the tip of our hands, but if anything goes wrong with technology or you lose it, or it gets upgraded you’re out of luck. In my opinion, it’s good to have both!

Our hands will not alway be touching because life has so many twists and turns, but you will always be reaching out for one another—will you be willing to reach back? The path will not always be clear, but it is during these tribulations your love and trust will grow.

Highlight’s from Ody and Willy’s backyard Mexican wedding, which had the sweetest details and one of my favorite flowers, bugamvilleas.

Everyone felt at home and it was mainly close friends and family, which I always love because you can feel how much people care for the couple.

Additionally, a nice perk about most backyard weddings is that a lot of the improvements you do to the backyard are there to stay, who doesn’t love that?

Me encantaron los detalles del pañuelo blanco en símbolo de las personas fallecidas—en especial el papá de Willy—que ya no pudieron asistir a la boda pero están presentes en espíritu, y sugerí podía ser utilizado para romper la pista al igual que las lucecitas, se utilizaron para abrir la pista ya que mi cobertura terminaba.

Creo que la boda salió encantadora, me gustaron esos detalles mexicanos del café en olla, los mazapanes, dulces con chilito, el papel picado, las luces, la comida súper rica!

Se ven todos bellos y disfrutaron a lo máximo, dejaron las emociones fluir, mostrar lo qué hay en nuestros corazones—que es lo importante en cualquier boda y lo que me deja a mi como fotógrafa satisfecha! 🧡
