It was a driving rainstorm on 287 and my son, a newly minted driver, was at the wheel.....
My powerful instinct was to have him pull over and let me drive. Instead, I stayed in the passenger seat, cheeks tucked, praying as I guided him on how to navigate the torrential downpour. With a grateful heart, we could see a clearing in the distance.
I tell this story to encourage all my sweet brides with families now.
Teach your children how to drive through the storms of life. Let them take the wheel and resist the urge to take over. Because someday.... You won't be in the passenger seat guiding them, they will be on their own and will need the skills to...
Drive through the storm.
