Those of you who follow me on Instagram know that I have made the decision to leave floral design-- and my business, Meadow Floral Studio-- to pursue my most persistent dream of authoring a fine art wedding blog. Chapel Journal is the product of nearly a decade of wedding experience—and of dreaming. My career as a fine art floral designer and wedding coordinator gave me such rich insight into all facets of wedding planning. Yet writing is my passion, my soul’s innate language, and I have longed to return to it. It was wedding blogs that first sparked my love of weddings, and for so long, I have dreamed of authoring my own. A blog that fluently combines my love of fashion and design with my rich wedding background and, above all, my faith, my reason for being. For I cannot view weddings as separate from marriages, from the beautiful covenant we make before God. While I admire so many wedding blogs for their fine art aesthetic, I have always felt that faith was missing from the equation—a treatment of marriages and weddings that is as holy and reverential as they deserve. My prayer is that Chapel Journal is a beguiling synthesis of visual beauty and the far surpassing beauty of grace, of faith.

On Chapel’s pages, you can expect to find lighthearted, fashion-forward posts as well as intensely practical wedding planning advice. I hope to inform and equip my readers with the information and the structure they need to plan a complex event—and the artistry and beauty inherent in planning such a beautiful event. I hope you can take refuge in the sheer visual beauty of Chapel’s pages. And yet I pray you see a glimmer of something more beautiful still—an encounter with God's grace.

Chapel Journal is an ode to faith-filled, fine art weddings. The journal is devoted to the creation of exquisite weddings—weddings that aspire to the highest levels of artistry and expression. Yet I believe in the kind of beauty that transcends mere aesthetic excellence. I believe in cultivating above all the unseen, spiritual graces of the heart, so that a wedding day is suffused with light eternal. Chapel offers no shortage of practical planning advice and fashion-forward ideas, but I hope it offers something more—an approach that honors God and offers tranquility of soul.
