When we finally got home yesterday evening after the longest weekend ever, I went into my garden as I do every time I come home. It’s my safe space. The place where I feel the most at ease and calm. I sat in my chair and was admiring nature. Having a little worship prayer session, thanking the Good Lord for providing and getting us through these busy few weeks. The kids were outback playing with dad. It was quiet. Peaceful. I could breathe. Out of the corner of my eye, I spied fluttering orange. If you know me, you know outside of flowers, butterflies blow my mind. There is something so perfect and whimsical about a butterfly. 🦋
People often tell me to keep my faith out of my business. “Don’t mix the two, you’ll turn people away.” And to that, I say how?! How can I possibly give credit to anything other than our creator for such beautiful things?! Look at this perfect creation. Look at the detail. The finite lines that create the most mesmerizing design. Look how it moves. Flutters. My brain cannot process the full spectrum of beauty that nature gives us. There is no other explanation. God gave us these things to make us stop, notice, and breathe. I watched it for a solid 15 minutes. Dancing from flower to flower. I’m obsessed.
I encourage you all to take a moment today (and everyday) to admire the amazing place we call home. Take it all in. Listen to the birdsongs, and watch the butterfly, smell the flowers, take your shoes off and feel the earth. Say a prayer, send positive energy towards the abundance of negative we are blasted with everyday. We must be the change we wish to see. And unless we take the moment to stop and breathe, we won’t ever feel that peace!

I’ve been down with the back to school funk for the past couple of days. 🥴 Yayyyy.
