Per the City and County, we will remain CLOSED on THURSDAY, January 23rd. At this time, the Sounds of Georgia show WILL go on Friday night as scheduled! Ticket holders, please keep an eye on your email for updated information tomorrow afternoon. We will post updates on here and at rylander . org.

It's going to be a busy couple of weeks here with "Vengeance: Turn it Over to Jesus" on Saturday, 1/18 and the "Sounds of Georgia" concert on Friday, 1/24! We can't wait to see everyone again soon!

The Rylander Theatre, along with the offices of the City of Americus, will be closed today (Thursday, January 9th) in observance of the National Day of Mourning honoring President Jimmy Carter.

It has been our great honor to be part of President Carter’s life in many ways throughout our 103 years. From seeing movies here as a young boy to celebrating his 75th birthday as part of our grand reopening ceremony, our auditorium is named for the support he and Mrs. Rosalyn gave to the Arts. Every staff member past and present, along with countless patrons and performers, are always eager to share their story about being in the audience or on the stage when President and Mrs. Carter were in attendance. The legacy of grace, support, and kindness left by President Carter will always be inextricably woven into our story as a historic theatre in the heart of Sumter County.
