•ANGEL’S 🦋 S W E E T 16TH•

“You guys did some type of magic. It didn’t look like this earlier.” We are proud of our work. We work hard behind the scenes. We work hard to provide a space that is both meaningful and creative. With that said, booking well in advance gives us time to communicate colors, themes, details, vendor selections, and everything in between.

Mira loved our new 3D arch. We love to create new and also rotate our inventory. Thus, this event is not any different. Finding ways to create a stand out design while incorporating new and on hand inventory. We hope you love this colorful interpretation of a butterfly sweet 16.

Our client Mira has the biggest love for her little sister Angel. Mira’s eyes filled with tears as her sister performed a song for her birthday. Even for just a day, Mira and along with her full family support, wanted Angel to have a night to remember. Angel, the youngest of five kids beamed ear to ear through the night.

A popular quote associated with Air1, a Christian radio station, is “The world is full of nice people. If you can’t find one, be one!”.

•RAINE’S 18TH D E B U T BIRTHDAY•

An elegant setup for the debutant and her family. We truly love our clients. Clients who let us get creative and let us enjoy the process of planning. Our goal was simple; have Raine and her family show up to a fully transformed room and experience a stress free event 💫

Playing off the shades of pink throughout the tablescape; so DREAMY. All in the little details. Highly focused of modern and classic table decoration with a hint of whicker natural materials which made the biggest difference. A mix of new and old: adding character to the tables and to the space.

Appreciating the day of the event as the REWARD. All the planning has been completed, all the vendors are paid, the room is set; it a time to soak in all the details and appreciate all the love in the room. Much like a marathon runner, all the hard work comes in the preparation. The day of the run is your reward. This is how I explained to my clients and set the expectations for the day of. Nothing more and nothing less of “what could be done”; it is time to simply be present in the moment and be so wrapped up with joy, appreciation, and gratitude.

•RAINE’S 18TH D E B U T BIRTHDAY•

A grand yet sophisticated focal area for the debutant and her entourage. Conrad out did himself for this event; producing 3 new inventory pieces. Featured are our new 3D 8’ central arch, entry display, and cane material bar. We also invested in these floral arches that we will incorporate in our future events. Everything came together beautifully. What was on the sketch books for over a year, turned reality for Raine’s birthday.

In order to be different, we have to be different. Thus creating pieces you won’t see with other stylist. Raine looked stunning as she posed next to our creations.

•RAINE’S 18TH D E B U T BIRTHDAY•

A year go, our initial meeting with Emy and Ramil, Raine’s parents, was at the UAA Den. Our clients expressed their gratitude for their only child, a daughter, and how gifting this celebration is also to showcase the momentous achievements Raine has received throughout her scholastic life. PROUD is understatement. They truly want to celebrate her big and proudly. We love when parents celebrate their kids: big and small. If you don’t celebrate your kids, then who will?

Emy and Ramil had a grand 1st birthday for Raine in the Philippines. Although Raine was itty bitty, she grew up to the stories shared by her parents and watched the video tape over and over of that day. Raine speaks about how that birthday impacted her childhood growing up. It is a favorite memory for her parents and one that she loves to replay. We made it our mission to deliver an event that’s both meaningful and memorable and one that hits all their expectations. An additional core memory as an adult that she share and replay.

“In the Philippines, an 18th birthday celebration, known as a “debut,” is a grand and significant event, much like a Sweet 16 in the United States, but with its own unique traditions and flair. In many ways, a debut is one of the most important events in a young girl’s life, second only to her wedding. It signifies a young girl’s transition to womanhood. “

With Ms. Emy & Mr. Ramil’s trust, we poured our love and creativity to this setup to make it as grand as they would allow us. We hope you love this setup just as much as we do. We are beyond proud of this work.

Event Planning & Coordinating

A new venture for us💫 we have always done the complete setup down to vendor coordination. However, for this 50th and fabulous event, we were tasked to plan, coordinate, and find vendors to fulfill grand birthday vision.

Similar with all of our styling events, the preparation and organization for this event is exceptional. Lots of movement and additional pressure to get the job completed. With all vendors working together and creating their own interpretation of the inspo, it is then our job to ensure the vision is communicated clearly. Leading a team can be difficult if expectations are not communicated early in advance.

We have enjoyed working with our client and having our phone call check-ins. It’s great to hear that we have eliminated all of the stress that she was feeling a month prior to her event. While we love to do everything for our client from planning to create to styling and to room reveals, sometimes it’s not realistic because our clients don’t find us until mid planning. Which is definitely understandable, we take on the job respectfully and get the job done.

ALL WHITE PARTY

The Hotel Captain Cook has one of the largest ballroom spaces in Anchorage. A perfect venue and space for 400 attendees. We thought the welcome event was grand, the all white party doubled it. During setup, we had many onlookers inquiring what event was about to transpire. Someone asked if it was a grand wedding and another said it looked so dreamy.

This was our first time offering helium balloons and we faced a few challenges. Our main obstacle was transport. We had 60 20”helium balloons. We also had to wrap each balloon with twinkle ✨ lights as requested. We underestimated how long it would take to unwind 60 twinkling light strings 😅

The space looked amazing. The attendants looked amazing.

WELCOME EVENT & GAME NIGHT

We had the upmost privilege to have spent the weekend with Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Inc. curating some balloon creativity and fun. The welcome event was requested to be all RED. An 8x7 red shimmer wall made the perfect backdrop in the room while the welcome mirror station fit for the best selfies and was decorated with mirror red shiny balloons. We got a few glimpses of the attendees serving some poses on that mirror. We were even able to block out two sections inside Whales Tail for the after party.

This event had by far the largest attendance with roughly 200 members coming through the welcome event to complete registration! It was definitely a great place and time to gather. I don’t think there was a moment of silence as attendees from different states shared stories, laughs, hugs, and enjoying each other’s company. They had members from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Korea, New York, st. Croix, DC, Georgia, and Connecticut.

•SCARLETT TWO THE S E A•

Another birthday celebration for the cutest little 🧜‍♀️ mermaid Scarlett. Scarlett TWO the sea. We actually met Jenny & Tim from one of our half marathon runs. They are an adventurous family. We admire their ability to balance it all: work, life, outdoors, play, fun, and friends.

Jenny & Tim are returned clients. This means so much to us as we grown our small business. We value their trust in us and them valuing our artistry and efforts.

We don’t copy. We create. While inspiration is always welcome and gets the ball rolling with planning, true artistry comes from trusting your STYLIST to bring your vision to life in their own creative and unique way. We have been grateful that our clients push our creativity which then fuels our brainstorming process to go outside our norm setups. •MADISON’S 6th DJ DISCO BIRTHDAY•

We love anything and everything DISCO 🪩 this is a first big party for Madison and her mom did not leave any details out. We took that as our motivation to WOW Madison and took it as LUX as we could.

Neon colors and balloons were important factors and so we went bright; from the entry way, to the tables, to the focal area, and to the desserts. The venue looked like a shiny neon disco ball explosion. While the colors and balloons catered to the kids, we still wanted the venue to feel elegant and classy for our clients. Madison literally have the coolest parents. Dancing from the moment we revealed the space and smiling.

This event gave us the opportunity to work with 3 new vendors. Keeping vendor relationships are important to us as it helps us fulfill the needs of our clients. Welcome to the Dream team 🤝

Returning clients are extra special although it does come with extra pressure to be creative. But, reminding ourselves that returning clients demonstrates loyalty and satisfaction. This is our second install for Mr. & Mrs. Anunciacion. Our initial event was to celebrate for their baby shower. This second install is to celebrate Lennon turning ONE.

Communication with Judy helped us understand her esthetics and ideal vision for Lennon’s day. Inspirational photos played an important role. We aim to always put our own creative spin to our setups and we are proud of this one. The colors played really well with the venue, the natural lighting that day turned out amazing, and adding wood details was just an extra touch to complete the look.

We hope you love this one. Definitely our favorite color combination; sage, lace, gold.

•DELTA SIGMA THETA• ALL WHITE PARTY The focal area is an 8x8 balloon photo wall. It was a great statement piece. We opted out on a white shimmer wall and spoke with our client about a balloon photo wall instead. It definitely was more work but it was such a stunner. The space was filled with 20” helium balloons each hand wrapped in LED string lights. The client asked for only balloons. •LENNON W I L D ONE• Along with the clients and their family, this setup took us 1.5hrs. That is incredibly fast and even got us excited to finish early. But what you don’t see are the backend hours to prepare for an event: the hours (5hrs) to steam and iron 10 round 120” table covers, organizing and packing items for use, blowing up balloons, wood working, painting, design sketches, and communicating. •ON THIS EPISODE OF T H A I L E R TURNS ONE• With outdoor events, you never know until day of for how weather will cooperate. We were in luck. Clear blue skies and 76degree weather is more than anyone can ask for in Alaska. We did a 25’ span setup and while I can say the heat didn’t defeat us, it sure did defeated/pop some of our balloons.
