I have watched the NFL and Cleveland Browns for as long as I can remember. Football was always one of my favorite escapes. Escape from the stresses and trouble in the world, and my life. I was born and raised a Browns fan. When Modell took the Browns from us...I went teamless until their return. I bled orange and brown.......

Sports at any level, are entertainment. A way for the players and spectators to forget about life and just have fun. The NFL...is not fun anymore. They have morphed the playing field, into a political field...and have destroyed the experience.

If I want to watch politics...I will turn on a news station, or read an article. I don't need an entertainer to force their politics or narrative as an admission fee to their performance or venue. They are entertainers, not politicians. I came to see them perform...not force their narrative.

Let me remind you, NFL players, coaches, staff, and owners...that FANS are your BOSS! FANS are the ones who pay your salary. Because without the FANS buying tickets, merch, concessions or watching you on TV...you don't get a paycheck.

Over the last few years, I have seen the NFL become an organization concerned more with politics than giving the people what they are paying for...ENTERTAINMENT. This season...the worst so far.

It is for these reasons, I am chosing to walk away from the NFL, the Cleveland Browns, and the Browns Backers Worldwide.

Celebration of life and potluck for Anchorage Alaska Browns Backers Founder Thomas Sudano will be held at the VFW on 1200 West 33rd Avenue, off Spenard Road, in Anchorage, on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at 2 p.m.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in his honor.

Thomas Sudano passed away on February 19, 2019 at the age of 59 in Anchorage, Alaska. The obituary was featured in Anchorage Daily News on February 25, 2019.

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing today of Anchorage Browns Backers Founder, Thomas Sudano.

He loved his family, Alaska, the outdoors, and his Cleveland Browns. He was a great man, and a great friend. He will greatly be missed.
