What an amazing event! Thank you to everyone who came to “When Words Aren’t Enough: Conversation Addressing MMIW in Alaska”. The Anchorage Museum was such a welcoming space for the evening that progressed from the Atrium for getting to know one another over appetizers & drinks to the Auditorium for art & video presentations & a panel discussion with our honored guests, Charlene Aqpik Apok, Marion Newman & Timothy Long with moderator, Kameron Perez-Verdia. Then it was back to the Atrium for small group discussions. Thank you, Alaska Humanities Forum for partnering with us on this important opportunity to be heard and to listen. Honored for the chance to inform everyone why Anchorage Opera is presenting the US premiere of Missing, Mar 10, 11 & 12 at the PAC, with a free private performance for families & loved ones to honor the victims of MMIWG.
