How Anchorage Makerspace is Printing Masks
It takes two hours to print one Montana Mask.
At that rate, one 3D printer in Anchorage is only printing 12 masks per day.
Even if we had a farm of 3D printers, the need for production is exponentially bigger than we can produce.
3D printing masks is not our solution.
We're big believers in doing what we can while we work our hardest to find something better, faster, and stronger.
And we ARE finding that.
3D printers are not our solution—
But they are the foot in the door.
They're the hope we needed to fuel this flame and get the state's interest in what Makers like us statewide are doing.
Doing what we can.
Trusting our gut.
Acting with intent.
Looking for more efficient solutions.
Working TOGETHER to find solve OUR problem.
Anchorage's problem.
Alaska's problem.
The world's problem.
3D printers are not our solution—
But they might be the start of something huge.
What do you think our way forward is?
Here getting ready for our 2nd workshop
We're open today come and see almost finished projects which were going to call finished anyway :)
