Strength and endurance in the face of adversity is how I would describe the organizers of the National Balloon Classic as well as the little powerhouse you see in this photo. Over the past 9 days, the balloon field was hit with somewhere in the realm of 6-7 storms that packed 50-60mph winds. An unheard of number in such a short period of time. We're grateful to be ending the week with a balloon flight and *most* of our sound and lighting gear still operational. As for the , she'll be leaving tonight without a scratch! 💪

What is the one thing we love most about our clients? Watching them grow and evolve their events! Let me tell you a bit about Concert on the Square. We were invited to provide our smallest mobile stage for this event in 2020, and that was a big step up for this volunteer led team of dedicated individuals. That night, we were blown away by the community of Oskaloosa and the way they showed up during a time when very few live events were being held.

Fast forward to 2023, and they now have our largest stage, 3 video walls, and two national Christian artists performing on stage tonight. We are so proud of this team and all they have accomplished, and we are grateful to be part of such a meaningful event. Thank you Osky for continuing to show up in such a big way!

And we're off! Today marks the kickoff of RAGBRAI 's 50th annual ride and our 5th year on the route with the RAGBRAI team. We thought the occasion warranted some fun themed crew shirts to celebrate the occasion!

Last Saturday night at Fierce Faith Music was nothing short of spectacular. This team wasn't going to let anything, no matter how sinister, get in their way of sharing a message of faith and love with their community. Thank you to Kristi and Nick for following their calling and making year 2 such a huge success!

When we have 5 teams across Iowa, there is no one else we trust to keep our event sites safe and our crew and clients informed. A huge thanks to our weather service for keeping us updated throughout an intense night of storms over the weekend. If you're an event organizer and you'd like access to a team of meteorologists who are accessible 24/7, we'd love to demo this service for you. It's is just one of the many ways we go above and beyond for our clients.

Leaning into the DISC Assessment as a business tool has become a huge part of our culture at Iowa Sound, LC. and Stagestruck. This past week, we spent time diving into each of our individual profiles and the strengths they bring to the team. We also spent time identifying the weaknesses and potential threats they pose. Why do we go through exercises like this? Because we all have different communication styles, as do the clients we serve. The best way to operate as a unified team is by listening, learning, and adapting where necessary. When our team is strong, our clients benefit and thrive alongside us!

Last week, the made the long journey down south to be a Florida snow bird. She got right to work last Saturday at a jazz festival, and this is the only photo we received. 🤷‍♀️ When in Florida, he (mini) golfs! We're thankful to Jason for making the long trip and to our partners in Florida for the opportunity. We look forward to watching their business grow!
