🌱 Our 2025 Zero Waste Report is in, and the progress speaks for itself.

With the help of Happy Planet Running, RF Events diverted 97.8% of event waste from landfills across 22 events in 2025. Nearly 20,000 runners took part in events where composting, recycling, and donation were the norm, not the exception, and every single event achieved a diversion rate of 95% or better. This kind of consistency shows what’s possible when strong systems, dedicated partners, and an engaged community come together. We’re proud of the progress and committed to continuing to improve, year after year.

🎄 Great night out with Ann Arbor Run Club AARC Group Runs at The Corner Brewery Arbor Brewing Company!

Some of the RF Events crew joined AARC for their run group holiday party, and it delivered exactly what you want from a winter run night: festive gear, chilly miles, holiday decorations, and plenty of good cheer afterward at the brewery. Bingo games, raffle winners, and a packed room made it a fun, relaxed way to wrap up a run with the local running community.

Huge thanks to Ann Arbor Run Club for having us, and to everyone who came out and made it such a great night. Looking forward to many more miles together!

🏃‍♀️ Community Spotlight: Avenue Runners and Walkers ! 🏃‍♂️
Part of the RF Events crew joined the Avenue Runners & Walkers on Livernois Ave in Detroit recently, and what an awesome group! They’re out every Wednesday evening, welcoming runners and walkers for miles, smiles, and post-run hangs. 🌆

Founded by local runner Johnny, this nonprofit does great work in the community and always shows up strong at our events, volunteering at Hightail to Ale, bringing 15 runners to Liberty Fest, and already gearing up for the Holiday Hustle Half Marathon Relay!

🎬 Trail Running on the Big Screen! The Trails In Motion Film Tour Ann Arbor (MI, USA) - Trails in Motion 13 is coming to Conor O'Neills Ann Arbor on Friday, November 7, 2025! Experience six inspiring films that celebrate trail and ultrarunners from around the world, stories of community, challenge, and the wild adventures that keep us all moving forward.
