🌮WKND POP UP🌮

We are so excited to have Chef Dan Spencer out on Campus for his pop up, Pelón’s Tacos!

Missing the tasty dishes of L.A. street food, Chef Spencer created Pelón’s Tacos to recreate some of his favorite bites.

Available today (2/22) and Saturday (2/24) from 4p to 9p

MENU:
Pollo al Pastor Tacos - Chicken tacos marinated in achiote then smoked and charred. Served on handmade tortillas made from heirloom blue corn. Topped with roasted salsa, white onion, cilantro, and lime.

Pozole Rojo with Tamale Rajas - A hearty Mexican soup made with pork shoulder, Mexican hominy, and a homemade tamale filled with cheese and roasted poblano pepper. Garnished with shredded cabbage, radish, and lime.

Chile Colorado - Slow simmered beef brisket in red guajillo sauce. Served with Mexican rice, charro black beans, and flour tortillas.

Bean, Rice, and Cheese Burrito (Vegetarian) - A smothered burrito stuffed with whole black beans, cilantro lime rice, Monterey cheese, and roasted corn crema.

Champurrado with Churro Bites - Mexican hot chocolate made with Ibarra and Ghirardelli chocolate, milk, a dash of cinnamon, and thickened with corn masa. Accompanied with churro bites for dunking.

Mo is a Detroit-based artist who runs the design and print studio . Her forthcoming show explores themes of nostalgia, adulthood, domesticity and simplicity through still life studies of everyday objects. The study began in 2020 during quarantine and has grown into an ongoing meditation celebrating the everyday nuances that one’s house holds.

We are so excited to be showing Mo’s work and invite you to an opening reception on Saturday, March 2, at 7pm. Light refreshments will be provided. See you there!
