Check out our website for more info! http://www.umich.edu/~motcrew/ Student volunteers of Motley Crew at the University of Michigan are dedicated to enriching the lives of children and families through funding, volunteering at, and hosting themed events at a variety of facilities in Southeast Michigan, including Veteran Affairs Hospital, Children's Hospital of Michigan at the Detroit Medical Cente
r, Penrickton Center for Blind Children, Down Syndrome Support Team, and the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living. Motley Crew also strongly values membership commitment and community. As such we host numerous social gatherings for members throughout the semester, such as bowling, apple picking, pumpkin painting, movie parties, study days, and tie-dye parties. Additionally, we host a benefit dinner towards the end of the year that brings together the UM campus community for a fun filled and delicious event to raise money for our events and awareness of our organization's cause. We also hold fundraisers throughout the year, and these are put together by Motley Crew's Financial Committee. Motley Crew's second committee, the Event Planning Committee, meets twice a month to plan the events.
Founded in 2009, Motley Crew got its start volunteering at Mott Children's Hospital with a dedicated crew of 30 members. We have since expanded to over 170 members and volunteer at additional facilities and are always looking for ways to improve our ties to the community, overall club experience for our members, and scale of our events.
