Beloved David. It is my favorite hour of my favorite day of the year, our wedding anniversary. It’s hard to believe you are even more handsome than you were that day, and not hard to believe that I love you infinitely more than the moment I confidently promised, “I do, with all that I am.”

Husband and I are guests at a wedding today, and we hardly know what to do with ourselves. I’ve already offered the groom water, and offered the DJ a WiFi hotspot.

Our wedding work clothes are black, so we got to go shopping for something new!

Now I’m going to turn my phone off just like the sign requests! 😉

Weddings are always a family affair, but a little extra when you have a sibling who “works” in the wedding world. When my little brother’s fiancée texted me asking for help planning, I was on it!

Husband and I headed to my hometown in South Dakota with a car full of decor and some plans. Everyone pitched in - Husband took photos, nieces did hair and makeup, I did the floral with some help from my sister, my parents made rice and beans for the requested taco bar, my uncle let Dogson sit on his lap to watch the ceremony, and I officiated. Whew!

One of my favorite things is that the bride wore the cross necklace I wore at my wedding, which was a beloved gift from my nieces, now her stepdaughters.

My heart was full to see my brother finally have his happily ever after. XO, S.

We have zero pre-written scripts from which to choose, because we love telling your love story and that just can't be scripted. XO, S.
