We know those prime days deals might be tempting and shopping with a small business can maybe cost more but let us tell you why:

-Overhead Costs: Small businesses typically have higher per-unit costs due to expenses like rent, utilities, and salaries, which can lead to higher prices for consumers.

-Scale of Production: Larger companies like Amazon benefit from economies of scale, allowing them to reduce costs through bulk purchasing and efficient supply chains. They can invest so much MORE upfront than the mom and pop shop down the street from you.

-Quality and Craftsmanship: Many small businesses focus on quality and unique, handcrafted items, which often come at a higher price than mass-produced products.

-Local Sourcing: Small businesses may source materials locally or prioritize ethical sourcing, which can increase costs compared to cheaper, mass-produced alternatives.

We hope this will soften the impact when you shop small. Just remember, you’re also supporting someone’s livelihood and maybe even a family vs a big corporation. Small biz for life ✌🏻

Just sold our last three mums!!! Thank you everyone! We want to give a huge shout out to Sheryl Schelm at for growing us our own little patch of mums this year! If you snagged a mum or two from us, here are some care tips ⬇️

-there’s a good chance your mums roots could be bound in the bottom of the pot. Repotting your mum into a larger pot with well-draining potting soil will give it more room to grow and help it last longer.

- Mums need at least 4–6 hours of sunlight a day, but too much heat and sun can shorten their blooming cycle. If it’s still warm, place your mums in partial shade

- Water potted mums when the top half of the soil is dry, and water thoroughly. Avoid overwatering, as wet soil can suffocate the roots. You can water from the bottom of the plant, which keeps the blooms dry. We’ve had the best luck watering every other day and watering from the bottom, letting the mums soak up water from a glass dish.

Ohhhhh Made + Found friends! What a weekend!

Putting words together for this post just brings the three of us to tears. Everything about the last few days was pure magic!! ✨ We are so humbled by all the love we’ve felt amongst the MFMM family the last week! A two day market was a little nerve racking but ended up being the best decision we made for this year!

To our vendors, thank you so much for taking a chance on us. For spending your time creating, making and for spending a few days with us in Anthon. All of you are just so special and talented and amazing business owners and we appreciate you so much!

Thank you so Suann for being our trusted spiritual advisor and to Bo, Amber and Neil for being incredible musicians and providing fantastic music at the market!

To our shoppers- thank you for coming and supporting all of these folks; their hard work and their dreams. Y’all really showed up for the best year yet! We loved getting to see all of your smiling face and to visit with as many of you as we could. We can’t wait to see you next year.
