In the mean time, I offer up these laws of electronic repair:

1. Whatever tools you have on you, the one you need is somewhere else.
2. When dealing with enclosures and waterproof glands/grommets, whatever size you currently have will not be the size you use to re-waterproof an enclosure after a repair.

Corollary to #2: you won’t have that size. You will have a size too large or too small.

3. You can save time looking for part by following this rule: Whatever part you are looking for is always at the bottom of the bin. Don’t waste your time looking at the top of the bin. Just go ahead and dump everything out because you’re going to have to do that anyway.

Base cabling done and a quick “smoke test” to see what isn’t working from last year. I have lots of “tweaks” to make it seems. We also found a problem with the MicroSD card port on the brand new controller board. Can you spot the problem?

Arches Lit… Canes and Trees cabled. But… power is dead… hmm… all breakers are working. There’s an outlet that isn’t working. 🤷🏻‍♂️
