As 2024 has ended, I'm so very grateful for another year filled with families, seniors, and special occasions. Familiar faces and new ones too, it is always an honor and privilege to capture these moments for you. Thank you for your continued trust.
I'm looking forward to each opportunity to preserve precious memories in the new year.

/ Jay Senior '25 / Fall
Totally in his element and back where we started, we were able to finish up Jay's portraits on a gorgeous fall afternoon, right in his backyard. One of the things I love most about capturing seniors is being able to include things that mean so much to them. I just love the outcome for Jay!

/ Hayden '25 /
Soaking up the last moments of fall, Hayden's session was absolutely perfect. We were able to hit some of his favorite spots, while showcasing some of his favorite things, AND get some shots that made mom so very happy! I love it when everyone leaves pleased, and I have the amazing proof of the memories made.
I'm so thankful that Hayden made the long ride back to Appomattox and chose A Royal Affair to preserve these senior memories. Congratulations, Hayden on your senior year!

A beautiful fall day plus a beautiful family plus a beautiful urban setting equals an outstanding session! I absolutely loved working with Leigh Ann and family. Easy going and ready for anything, this session went by so quickly. And I just love the results!

It is such an honor each year to capture the amazing musicians and staff of our Appomattox Marching Raiders. Still celebrating their incredible Grand Champion performance at the Brick Capital Classic, this fine group is wrapping up another marching season and we were finally able to get their group shot wrapped up too.
Thank you Mr. Allgood and staff for letting me capture these memories for you yet again! Congratulations on your fantastic season!

Hanging out in downtown Lynchburg on a beautiful fall afternoon, we laughed our way through a wonderful session with Keenan. Number 2 of the brother duo was equally as easy going and easy to capture. I mean, look at that amazing smile!

Senior season is definitely in full swing.. and the feeling of fall is everywhere. Especially when we can incorporate special interests like football and the beautiful fall backdrop.
The first of a brother duo, Reagan was such fun to capture. We had a great time hanging around the high school for his session. When you're laughing throughout, you know it will make for some awesome shots.

The summer totally flew by and this week it was time to capture part 2 of Abby's Senior session. An absolutely perfect fall day was the most wonderful backdrop to highlight Abby and that beautiful smile. I have so enjoyed spending time with this sweet family as we've captured these special memories. Cap and gown session in the spring will be here before we know it!

Take a look at another fun Senior session! GJ came prepared to show off his love of music and all things guitar. But I have to admit, his uncle's ACHS Band jacket throwback might have been my favorite part. I love incorporating a senior's personal items to make a session uniquely their own. It was so much fun working with GJ to make his vision come to life.

I'm not sure which shone brighter, the sun after Hurricane Helene or this gorgeous Senior! What a perfect fall day to capture some memories for Grace. She was so easy going and sweet and we had a great time showcasing some of her favorite things.

I can hardly believe that over a year ago Jayson' mom reached out about booking his Senior session and this week that day arrived. Watching the weather closely, we got a perfect first of fall day to capture Jayson's laid back personality. I love how we brought together those things that he loves so much too. And, he just looks like he was meant for the camera to capture. We had such a great time together!

Taylor & Daniel / 8.31.24
What an honor and a privilege to be a part of this special couple's big day! When I met with Taylor and Daniel for their engagement session, I just knew how sweet and perfectly 'them' their wedding day would be. And it was exactly that. From the beautiful and peaceful location that means so much to their family, down to Taylor's curated and hand painted wine glass favors, each detail had their personal touch that made guests feel they were a part of something truly special. The joy and celebration of Taylor and Daniel's union was so apparent, in the grand gestures and small touches, and was thoroughly enjoyed by family and friends. What a magical day! Not even a humid August day could put a damper on that.
As an aside, I count myself so very blessed to not only have witnessed this day, but to have also been a part of Taylor's story from early on. Taylor sat in my 2nd grade classroom many years ago, and to be able to capture her walking down the aisle was just an amazing full circle moment for me. I'm so very thankful for Sherry and SL's trust in me to do so.

Congratulations, Taylor and Daniel! We're wishing you many many blessed years, full of love and joy!

This one is an extra special one for ARA. I remember when Jay was just a little thing.. and then he sat in my 2nd grade classroom.. and now he's in front of my lens for his SENIOR portraits! It's been such a pleasure watching him grow into a wonderful young man and it was an honor to capture these moments for him and his family. What a great time we had together, in a place that Jay loves. Congratulations and have an amazing senior year, Jay!

With just a few days left of summer, we were able to capture the first of Abby's senior portraits in the most beautiful way. Knowing exactly what she wanted from her portraits, Abby was a rockstar, even in this August heat. And the enchanting Rosefield Farm and Flowers was the perfect backdrop. I'm so happy we were able to capture her vision and I LOVE Abby's dreamy images!

Taking advantage of the fantastic reprieve from the summer heat, we had a perfect day this week to capture this beautiful girl's milestone - turning 13. Khloe knew what she wanted, picked the perfect outfits, and was ready to shine... and just look at that gorgeous smile! She totally nailed her session and I'm so very happy we were able to make her vision come to life.

Cockram Family
What an absolute pleasure to visit again with Cheryl, Dustin, and family. And the reason for the visit? Capturing their last days as a family of 4 in preparation of becoming a family of 5.
