Hi everyone! I had a good vision for my page going forward, but you may have noticed the abrupt halt in posts. That's because I am making some priority changes in my life and will be considerably limiting the number of bookings I take from now on. 🥲

I have a wonderful, energetic 1 year old who is our miracle baby after 4 IVF cycles. We are blessed to have 2 more embryos frozen and waiting on us to bring them into the family. Given that I already work full time and am growing my family, my time is very limited. I have decided to put more of that time and focus on what's most important in life while I'm able!

I may still post photos just to continue the theme I had envisioned for this page, but I will be limiting my social media presence and business promotion in order to spend more time with my family. I have enjoyed creating wedding florals for many of you for the past several years, and feel so blessed to be able to do what I love! ♥️

Sadly, this beautiful rose bush I took a photo of a few years ago mostly died out and had to go this past weekend. But in its place is a cozy outdoor fireplace, so I guess I can’t be too sad! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Happy Tuesday! Obviously this photo was from a nice hot summer day, but I am so happy to see some hints of Fall in the air! Fall is my favorite time of year… I can’t wait for the hot chocolate, crisp fall leaves, that smell in the air as everything changes, and the beginnings of sweater weather!

I also got married in the Fall, so a big shout out to all my fellow Fall brides! It’ll be here before you know it!

I’ll never forget my sister sending this song to me when I was off on my own for the first time my freshman year of college. I was going through a difficult relationship (if you could even call it that) and was not very respected in it. These lyrics spoke to me a lot at the time, as a reminder that no one holds the key to your happiness or self-worth but you!

I just recently raffled this bouquet off to one lucky winner at the The Ponds at Mable Farms] wedding expo! It will never not be one of my ultimate favorite bouquets, but it was time to pass it on! I hope whoever got it is enjoying it! 🌹♥️

Tulips are the first flowers I remember as a child. We had them growing in front of our home before we moved when I was 3 (yes, my memories started early). ☺️

This beautiful flower bed was thriving in all its glory a few years ago at the Easter brunch in OKC. 🌷

To anyone who asks me why I do artificial wedding flowers instead of real, my answer is simple: I kill everything living. 😬 I actually killed an AIR PLANT once. You know, the plants that require nothing but air and an occasional dunk in water? 🙄😩

So that being said, of all the many beautiful flowers my husband has given me, guess who primarily takes care of them until their last days? Yup. He does.

One of my very favorite things I have ever made, yet I don’t think I’ve ever even shared it! When I say I make literally everything wedding-floral-related, I mean it! These whitewashed wooden letters are 14” tall and can be customized with any floral theme you want. They would be perfect displayed on your cake table, your sweetheart table, or at the entrance to your reception!

My name is Ashelle, and MyArtbeat Florals evolved over time as my interests jumped from one thing to the next. It finally settled on weddings, which makes my heart so happy!

My business is home-based but I’m also a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant. Not enough? Ok, I recently had my first baby and he is almost 7 months now. 👶🏻Yes, I think I have my work cut out for me! 😅

My husband learned early on in our relationship, probably way before we got married even, that my favorite flower is Alstroemeria. Ever since then, without fail, every single bouquet he’s ever gotten or made me has included alstroemeria. 🥰

So, this post saddens me a bit, but it’s necessary. 😕

I’ve made the decision to no longer offer custom dyed sola flowers - just natural ivory or bark. Working two full-time jobs made it difficult enough, but adding a baby to that mix made my available time almost nonexistent! The dyeing process of sola flowers is just more time-consuming than I’m able to manage. Plus, as much as I hate to admit it, I had begun to dread getting orders with dyed flowers because I no longer enjoyed the process.

That being said, I simply couldn’t bring myself to not offer sola flowers at all! It is in fact how I got started with the whole floral business in the first place. So I still want to offer sola flowers in their natural ivory…which is still going to make any arrangement gorgeous (like the one below)!!

For anyone who falls in love with one of my dyed sola flower designs, I will do my very best to color match with silk flowers and preserve the overall aesthetic of the original design!

Moving forward, I will be primarily working with high quality silks, which has really become my passion lately. 💐

My first 100% pampas arch swag and tie-back… something I’ve been wanting to do for forever and hoping a client would purchase. Wish granted!! 😃 I see a few things I want to tweak still, but I’m so excited because these beauties will be in a wedding on a Lake Tahoe beach with a beautiful sunset and mountain backdrop. I’m so here for it! 😁
