IMAGINE yourself at AT&T Stadium!

The Art IV students at the CVPA were recently honored by the Dallas Cowboys with an art exhibition at AT&T Stadium and on the field pre-game recognition!

Arlington ISD Visual Arts has a long standing relationship with the Cowboys. They provide student tours for all AISD students, art exhibitions, and sponsor a senior scholarship! Special thanks to Linh Nguyen, Asst. Director of Fine Arts for cultivating this relationship.

Advanced piano students from the CVPA recently toured Bass Hall, Steinway Hall, and the Cliburn Foundation. Students saw behind the scenes areas and learned about music in the professional setting.

Dr. Sehee Jin, piano professor from Texas Tech University also visited with some of our piano students about options for music in college!

🎇 Ideas can change the world. And our students have lots of great ones. That’s why Arlington ISD is proud to partner with the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce for the 19th annual “What’s Your Big Idea?” Entrepreneurship Contest.

The contest includes elementary, junior high and high school participants. First-, second- and third-place winners receive scholarships to attend the exclusive one-week “The BIG Idea Lab” Summer Camp where students will learn what it really means to be an entrepreneur.

🎇 Las ideas pueden cambiar el mundo. Y nuestros estudiantes tienen muchas ideas geniales. Por eso, Arlington ISD se enorgullece de asociarse con la Gran Cámara de Comercio de Arlington para el 19 ° concurso anual de emprendimiento “¿Cuál es tu gran idea?”.

IMAGINE Your Potential in a community of artists!

IB Visual Art students collaborated with professional Artist Fred Villanueva in creating painted mural banners with “Empowering Words.” “Empowering Words” are community building words in bilingual English-Spanish to clearly communicate the values and hopes of diverse communities.

Mr. Villanueva's goals of this social practice art project are to "Create the art collaboratively, to inspire community participation throughout DFW, and to inspire young artists to undertake civic leadership roles in community building through the arts in Texas."
